Post by: Kylie on October 11, 2009, 05:55:39 PM
Hi there, im new to this site obviously lol

I am 18 years old from Essex England my name is Kyle but im hoping to have it changed to Kylie

I have been thinking about if i want to be female for about 5 - 6 years now and have made my decision i want be be female

I have the deepest voice ever i really hate it not sure what i can do to get rid of it and i have been shaving my body every week, i need a better solution for tht lol...

Hopefully I should be taking hormones on January if all goes well

I have to tell parents and friends tho about my decision but im finding it very difficult, i can tell people online tho, ive told a few of my online friends anyway and they accept me so im hoping everyone else will...

Oh and also for my birthday i will hopefully be going to the transformation shop in London so excited for it :D

So yea I hope to enjoy my stay here! im usually on my laptop i got nothing better to do... D: lol!

Not sure if i have missed anything out... oh yeah how do you edit your profile? i like doing it lol is there a page tht shows how somewhere? if so tell me! :D

Hi Kylie, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3400 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Blessed Be.
Janet

Hi and welcome to Susan's!

This is a really great place with lots of info and also a lot of really caring and helpful people. Jump right on in and start sharing your opinions, feelings, experiences. It's what helps us all relate to one another and give and receive the support we're here for. ;D

I understand what you're feeling about your voice being so low. I'm FTM and my voice is really "girly" and it makes me very frustrated.

As for editing your profile, you can only do that after you've posted 15 posts, so go ahead and join the discussions already in place, or start some of your own. Just be careful not to "pad" your post count with meaningless stuff just to get your count up, the mods watch for that. ;)

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Welcome to Susan's, Kylie.

Like the others have said, there is a lot of good information here.  And some very helpful people.  Voice is a problem for those of us who are MtF.  There are various threads about what you can do about it.  There's also lots of information about hair removal.

And there are lots of threads about coming out.  We all go about it differently, depending on our needs and situation.  For me it was important to come out to everyone before I started HRT, but others don't see it that way.  (For me, it was a matter of controlling the process the best I could.  I didn't want to get any questions I wasn't yet ready for.)

What's a transformation shop?  (I'm a Yank, but I also tend to be clueless anyway - perhaps a double whammy?)

Happy exploring. :)

Are you kidding me, Kate?  You truly have not heard of Stephanie Anne Lloyd or her Transformation Shop.  I only wish she had one here in the States.  And Just for you Hon....http://www.transformation.co.uk/ (http://www.transformation.co.uk/)  Enjoy.

What can I say?  I'd never heard of it.  I know there's a place in Seattle that offers to make you as passable as possible and will even take you out shopping.  And I've heard of the service in NYC.  I imagine there are probably others here in the states.

It just goes to show that you're never too old to learn. ::)

Hi Kylie, welcome to Susan's! :)

There are a lot of wonderful resources and people here to talk with about any regarding your transition, and support is always here for you ;)

Following Janet, be sure to review the Site Terms of Service and rules to live by, and you'll be set.

With modifying your profile, another mod or admin can clarify but I'm pretty sure you have to reach 15 posts before those privileges become available ;)

Enjoy your stay!
