Yeah instead of dilating your neo-vagina everytime, what if you just left it inside always and remove it only when you need to urinate or have sexual intercourse. Did anyone try this? Why not?
The big concern that comes to my mind, is there a possibility of infection? And somehow it just sounds uncomfortable....
it isnt just keeping it open so to speak, it is maintaining depth too and that requires proper quality dilation especially in the early days
there are no shortcuts to womanhood just alot of hard work.
Just thinking of leaving a dilator in 24/7 makes me cringe! :P Most dilators are hard lucite or plastic, and not exactly comfortable to use. The movements we make every day would be rather difficult with a dilator inside the body, and could even potentially cause damage to the organs or lower spine, not to mention hygiene concerns. The most I've ever heard of people leaving the dilator in are those who do that during sleep so that they don't have to do it during waking hours. If someone were to invent a comfortable, soft stent that could be worn during the day, I'd be all ears, but I think that such a product would rather defeat the purpose of dilating in the first place. :)

Leaving it in during night time seems a good idea but is that even safe? I have been trying to work out how on earth I am going to fit three times a day in with my working life in the first six months or so. Be happy to hear what others have done. Don't really relish the idea of just work, dilate, eat, dilate, sleep, dilate, work, dilate, eat, dilate, sleep sort of syndrome.

W00t good idea, time to engineer something and make multi millions of dollars :) Ill send you some royalty checks :)

From personal experience:
Got comfy on the couch.
Turned to my fav TV channel.
Lubed up, and started to dilate, watching TV,
Fell asleep.
Woke up many hours later.

Sometimes calming down can loosen things up, reminds me of american pie when he got his thing stuck in the tube or wait that was american band camp, and they made him sit in a tube full of ice to calm him down
Sounds like a bad idea- it would be much too easy to tear something while moving around. Prolly better to follow your surgeon's instructions as closely as possible. (not to mention- ewww)
my colo-vagina spits the dilators right out if i don't hold it in, its just the natural movement of the colon. It's exhausting.
