When I could not wear pantyhose freely, silky textures looked erotic, and I was attached to them. It was like the forbidden fruit. After I started to wear pantyhose freely at public, it becomes just one of my favorite optional fashion items. Nowadays, I prefer leggings and athletic tights. In summer, just my bare legs are enough.
When I first tried to wear a skirt about 5 years ago at home, it happened to be my wife's. She wore it before marrying me, but no longer could wear it as the skirt became too small for her. Fortunately it fit to my waist. I also wore pantyhose, and I was charmed by my own images, taking several photos. Yes. That was my first skirt with classical pantyhose:

After that, I was addicted to comparing my body figures with hosiery models.

Nowadays, I no longer take photos indoors because I can freely wear any skirt and pantyhose outdoors during weekend if I wish.
As it is autumn, I wish to wear colored pantyhose under my bright-colored skirt, which I have not yet tried to wear.

I've always like the look and feel of hose. Black, of course.
However, now I find them both a pain and a trick not to tear with the constant up and down associated with too much coke or coffee. Plus, they're expensive with a planned obsolescence of about 2-3 wears.
All that said, never in the summer (too hot) and if money were no object then Wolford are simply the best. Who's got an extra 30-40 dollars laying around?
As sexy as they look, I just hate the way they feel. I have a number of pairs. I am most comfortable in fishnet though.

I love the feel and look of nylons, but I don't have ever many opportunities to wear them, nor do I have many dresses to wear with them. And the ones I have would not be work conducive, unless you work late night and are downtown.
Janet.
Hey what's wrong with working downtown at night? The pay's pretty good and someone has to patrol the streets! :police:
Well there is patrol and then there is parade. The emoticon is correct in one respect. ;) :police:

Hate pantyhose, love stockings.
Seldom wear either though.
There are some I love, others I'd like to hang my neighbor with. But I generally throw the less liked hose away to avoid temptation  >:-)
I prefer thigh-high stay up stockings, I hate pantyhose.
They're torture to wear here in summer unless you are to quickly go from air cond. to air cond. Athough one nice thing is they keep all that fine sand constantly blowing around off your legs. I mostly wear them to job interveiws with conservative heels, jacket & skirt.
Love to wear both pantyhose and stayups. I find that sheer pantyhose 12 denier or less feels like they are not on. Prefer tights under my pants during cold winter nights.
not for me- especially under a long skirt they just make the skirt cling too much. I prefer over the knee socks or bare legs. Sometimes I wear tights if it's really, really cold.
As I recall, pantyhose were the first item of feminine apparel I bought for myself. I suspect this is often the case. It's sort of a rite of passage (so to speak). They certainly felt sexy at first. For years I wore them under my gentleman pants at work in the winter for added warmth. This kind of took the edge off and, to be honest, I don't care for them much these days. They're great for showing some leg with short skirts, but more often I'll wear leggings or colored tights. You have to keep some around, but their tendency to get runs makes them less practical to me.

I love pantyhose however, when I flatulate my ankles swell. Not really. I'm joking.
thanks for all of the comments
I would not be caught dead dressed enfemme without pantyhose.I wear pantyhose when i'm doing housework even,or cooking dinner,I guess you i could say i wear them all the time.
I had a total nylon fetish but don't wear them much anymore. Kind of lost my sex drive since starting HRTso its not that erotic anymore, now I wear them when its cold or when my outfit looks better with hose. My skin is getting really soft and smooth and now I love the look of my bare legs with a soft shimmer lotion.
This thread got me thinking (Ya know that's dangerous) How much I like the look and feel of pantyhose.
I think I'll start wearing them more often again :icon_chick:
Pantyhose never really did it for me... prefer stockings or thigh high socks.
I wore them once, this year actually, I think in April, with an outfit. I got them on, hated the feel of them (too constricting in the waist - they were control top (because I needed some control up there, lol)) and took them off. That was my brief experience with pantyhose. I threw them away and I probably won't wear them again unless I need to cover up my chalk legs, which won't happen anytime soon :) Meghan
My vote for best look, feel, & are of reasonable cost; good old Leggs Sheer Energy(prefere waistband free). There's reasons these have been around so long.

There are many advantages of stockings versus pantyhose/tights:
They can stay in place when going to the bathroom... and since you won't have to pull them up again you'll never by mistake tuck your skirt or dress in them even if you put too much rhum or vodka in your coke or whiskey in your coffee ! :embarrassed::P
If you ladder one you don't have replace the whole pair. Just take one from the next pair and then use the one left next time you need to.
Safe, simple, economic and so much more comfortable and sexy of course. ;)

I find that after completely removing all leg hair pantyhose now feel so much better and stay in place. I find that 12 denier or less are silky and feel wonderful on my legs. The extra cost for good quality is worth it. I also like stay ups and stockings.
I really like the concept of stockings, both in terms of potty stops and quick access. ;) That said, I find that many of them are either too short for me (I'm a tall girl) or can be tight at the top of the thigh. The rubber material on the stay ups is yucky to me, and the garter belt thing kind of tricky.
Oh well, I guess you can't have it all. ???
I like the new patterned tights that have hit the market. They really are neat and can complete an outfit in a very interesting, flattering way.
