I like Joshua Shane.  What if later in life you are no longer jaded?  Kind of a negative thing to name yourself even if you feel a connection to it now.  I think names play a huge role in a person's psychology, so be careful!

My vote, if you remember, was for Joshua Shane.  That sounds so cool.  You can still keep Jaded as the nickname though.  That seems to be the most popular one too.

Oh, and Buffy...I met Jaded this weekend and he does make a great guy already.  He passes 100% even without T.  Nothin' female there...all boy.

Jaded...I hope things are going better at home.  Don't do destructive things.  From one nut to another, I know it is so hard to resist doing destructive things when it seems like things are caving in around you.  I have had one heck of a week, but when I felt like being destructive, I actually thought, I can't do that, I'll be a bad example to Jaded.  So I put on some nail polish and scraped it off!  ;)  Seriously, I have thought about you so much since we got back from Oregon.  You are really a class act!  Your whole being just eminates goodness.  I do pray that things go as you want with your lady.  She will be so blessed for choosing to spend her life with you.

Hiya Jaded.

Choosing a name is something that most people never get a chance to do.  It is good that you are open to hear other's opinions...maybe you will hear something that you hadn't thought about and help settle any questions in your mind.  I agree with Mikko that you may want to consider picking a name that you can be proud of years from now, (can't tell you how many people I know that, years later, are ashamed of the tattoos they chose when they were in their early 20s...a name can't be hidden under long sleeves).

Like others, I voted, but what we think is only helpful if we validate the name you have chosen for yourself.  If it doesn't, then it can only cause confusion and doubt if you take it too seriously.  You stated that you have pretty much made up your mind, so, while giving advice is never a great idea, my comment is that you might consider looking deep within yourself and find your true name.  What name "feels" right?  What name makes your soul leap with joy?  That is the one.

Whatever you choose, it will be great...Please keep us posted on how things go, and how you feel when you get that first look at your new driver's license and credit card with your new name...

I really like Joshua Jaded and Joshua Shane.  Joshua Jaded flows nice and fits your personality, as long as being a great alliteration haha, but Joshua Shane sounds like the name of a model or somethin! Either name will be great :)
