Hi guys,
My chest surgery is on the 11th of December and it feels like an EON away. I am a high School teacher and have been on T for 2 months now and am starting to struggle with transitioning while at my job. Luckily i have a study award for next year so in 7 weeks i can be free to be me, but to be honest i am feeling a bit down at the moment, I didnt realise how much it would get to me; its supposed to all become easy after starting T but I'm finding it frustrating grrr. But anyway apart from that, I'm wondering if you guys have any tips leading up to surgery, like exercises, or diet or anything... and also coping strategies for the waiting ::)
Thanks!
try to be in the best shape you can. :) generally, the better contour you can get on your chest, the easier it is for the surgeon to place your scars well and get the contouring right.
the thinner you are, the less likely it will be that you'll have dog ears. (if youre having DI)
as for the wait? sorry. :-\ it just sucks. just think.. you'll have the best christmas present to yourself EVER.
