Soooooooooo... Although I wear contact lenses, I needed to replace my old glasses. My prescription hasn't changed, but the glasses that I keep "just in case" were unisex, plain and generally pretty none discript. So I though it was time for a change in styles, and while I'm at it, why not try for a comletely different look. So here they are... No hooting or hollerin', no ROTFLMAO, LOL's please...
I like them. :P

Steph,
They look really good IMHO. They make you look sophisticated. If you are comfortable with them then thats all that really matters. My mom just recently got a new pair of glasses too and she is very happy with them. Her old ones were falling apart and the lens kept popping out on her. :o

Steph, they look good. They make you look important and sophisticated. I wear glasses too. I have the ones without any rims. I have them on in my picture. I have recently got a new pair. They are the same. They won't break either.
Sheila
Steph, you have impecable taste. They are wonderful!

Steph,
I too wear contacts most of the time, but I have also been thinking about replacing my glasses with something a little more classy...I knew I should have hurried, you beat me to it!
I like them and think you look great.

You've got the "sexy librarian" look going for ya in that pic! Work it girl! I think they look pretty good!
I call it the "editor look"--my mom's got a pair like that and she copyedits a newspaper. Nice! Very "Marian Paroo," if you like "The Music Man."
i like

I hope I am not too late, they don't do a thing for you at least in that pic. I mean, really. Although it could be that the camera angle elongates your upper lip. (I am very upper lip conscious as it was my most male feature pre-FFS)
I bought a pair of glasses two months before FFS, afterwards the old glasses did not fit my new higher eyebrows. I had to buy a new pair.

Nope never too late. Thanks for the honesty Harper. As far as the camera angle goes the picture was taken with a web cam and we all know their limitations. "I mean, really" - I'm not sure what that phrase means but it does sound distainful. I agree where your glasses wouldn't look right after FFS, it would be like buying a size 16, then loosing weight me thinks.

...And that explains the source of the blue light shining on your face. ;D
I'm not much better. I was holding my camera out at arms' length, looking at the little TeeVee (swiveled around to point forward,) then looking in the lens and pushing the button.
I sent a big version of the photo to my therapist, and at today's session (via telephone) he said, "I see a trache-shave in your future!"

(BTW, I have new glasses on the way ;D ;D )

Very true Riki.
I guess with our concern for looks, and maybe our vanity, we tend to loose "Sight" of the reason for these contraptions we put on our faces. :)
Steph
Ironically Steph i probably would have ten pairs of glasses but... alas i am a contact lover and hope to be able to wear them forever or afford surgery some day i'm blind wothout them i think, I have one pair of glasses and they guy looking new balance sprting ones. People say they like me in them i look studious or like a teacher i dunno is that a nice way of saying you're a nerd? hmmmmmmmm
I, too, cannot live without my contact lenses. I could write poetry about my contacts, I love them so much. There's nothing wrong with glasses and on many people glasses are like face jewelery that emphasize their natural beauty. It's just that I had to wear glasses for so long (since I was eight) that I'll be damned if I have to wear them instead of my contacts!
Steph;
From reading your various replies I personally feel that there isn't a pair of glasses made that can hinder or equal the beauty of your inner self as it shines for us to see.
Don't worry; you look good in them hon.
