This may seem a daft question but i,ve read and heard about T re-wiring your brain if you like but how does it affect your personality? One of the reasons i never went any further years ago was because my partner of the time was afraid i would become a different person once i was on T. Does this happen?
Personality has not changed at all. All that has changed is I am happier and so care about myself more. I had similar concerns as you, it didn't happen.

If there is a change, it would just mean you finally feel free to express yourself.
All the "changes" I've experienced have been generally in a more positive direction -- I feel much calmer / less unhinged, even my full-blown panic attacks have been more controlled with less screaming and crying than before.
Other than that -- no noticeable changes to my personality. Some guys told me that I'd be completely unable to cry, but this has not been the case at all. Some told me that I'd be an unhinged ball of anger, but this hasn't been the case either. I was even told that my creativity would "die", but this couldn't be any further from the truth.
Any perceived changes are simply the result of a) feeling more at ease with being perceived as oneself, or b) purely psychosomatic changes occurring because of one's pre-conceived notions of what testosterone "will do" and what masculinity "is". I've found Max Valerio, for example, dead right about a few things, but dead wrong about others. If testosterone made all of these sweeping across-the-board changes to everybody on FTM HRT, then I wouldn't be able to name people (myself included) who've never had these experiences post-HRT.
Testosterone will not change your personality any more than you want it to.
i was just generally less bitchy. i also became a little more visual in the bedroom department. not sure if it was T related or not.

I also take less BS than I did before (which wasn't much to begin with) so my BS tolerance has gone to 0. I still get angry but I'm going through a really tough time right now (like many of us) in all facets of my life. I look forward to when my transition is farther along.

I had concerns about this too. I know it was foolish and I was going off the stereotype than men are less creative, which is false. Actually, my creativity has gotten better! It makes since it wouldn't decrease since I've always been living with a male brain anyway.
Calmer, happier, less "bitchy" I agree, more direct and less BS/drama, more confident and since your "interest" will be up you're going to find yourself more willing to show interest in those who are attractive to you.
I dunno where the "males are less creative" idea comes from, men and women are both creative though often in different ways.
