Title: Uneven breast development
Post by: Elaine on October 13, 2006, 10:35:28 PM
Experience? Information? Corrective measures???

I'm going to talk to my endo about it soon.

If one is slightly smaller than the other, it's no big deal and is normal.  Normal women experience the same thing.

Now if you are asking about waviness or heart shaped things growing, you may have a different problem.

The best way to find out for sure is to see a doctor. I'm not 100% sure of the significance of breast uneveness, for it is very common among genetic women as well.  However, if there is a significant change of size of breasts (uneveness increasing), change of texture of the breast skin and especially the areola and of course any lumps, you should see your endo or regular physician asap.

Hi Elaine,

As Cindy said, uneven development is normal within genetic females.

I have friends where the difference is one cup size.

They do look odd when they first grow and there is lots of information of breast development on the net, Juvenile breast development being assessed according to the Tanner Scale (stages1 to 6), which shows how breast development in young girls progresses through the different stages at puberty.

Tanner Scale I to VI (http://transwoman.tripod.com/breastdev.htm)

Corrective actions in most cases are by surgery, but many women do live with uneven breast growth.

Thank you everyone. There's nothing wrong with texture etc... just, let's say.. ::how to put delicately::... hmm.. not pointing the same direction.

I thought this might have been something that just happens -- I just didn't think it would happen to me!

Thank you all again for the responses.

Very common among GG's Elaine.....talk to your doctor about it and if it's a serious enough problem for you it can easily be corrected surgically.

Totally normal, spacekat. Totally. It's to be expected to some degree.

For the record, my Right boob is my favorite. :)

Mine were uneven before HRT but are less so now.

I don't know how, or even why, but I was talking to a number of GG's about uneven breast development, and it was a general consensus between them that their left breasts were often larger than their right... Especially when growing. Dunno why that is, honestly.

Just use a little tissue in the cup of your bra for the breast that is slightly smaller. :p

Hiee,

My breasts have been growing in a flip/flop fashion. First the right will seem larger fuller and then the left one. This is after 23 months of HRT. As long as they MORE or LESS equal out in the end I will be happy I think.

I'm pretty sure that no one has exactly symetrical breats.

If the difference between them is noticable, chances are that with a bra and a shirt on it's actually virtually unnoticable to others - unless they're getting up close and personal. :D

But of course, if there are any lumps, you should see a doctor.

Yeah, uneven breasts......this is something that recently came to my attention.  It really bothered me somehow when I became aware of it.  My wife says 'I luv them both the same, stop obsessing, I had to point it out for you to even notice, and most women's breasts don't match anyway!'

My right's a fair bit bigger, it's a fairly common thing hopefully the left should catch up.

Mine started out like that one seemed a bit smaller and my nipple seamed to be pointing outward, I started wearing my bra's as often as possible and I started with my corset, after about 2 months everything sorta got normal.
