MARION, Ill. (AP) ― A transgender woman who police say pretended to be a 15-year-old boy and tried to enroll at a southern Illinois high school says she isn't guilty of felony disorderly conduct.
Twenty-four-year-old Jack Kaiser has also gone by the name Jennifer May. She waived her preliminary hearing in Williamson County.
Police say Kaiser was using the name Jack Stones when she tried to enroll at Marion High School, telling the state child-welfare agency she'd been abandoned.
