Can anyone tell me how long it takes once you are on HRT (estrogen and anti-andogen) before your nipples start hurting (I forgot) :'(?

3 months for me, and thats when they seemed to begin getting longer and more pointed. Well one of them at least. The other seems behind a bit or doing something else.

I've heard that an almost itchy nipple-pain and sensitivity can begin in as little as one week, and is often definate by week two with the beginnings of painful breast buds around (as soon as) week three. Nipples going perpetually erect after a week or two.
Visible growth in as little as four weeks. Minimal of course, but a noticable puffiness overall, with the center (buds) being slightly more pronounced.
For me yes no visual result for 1 month at least. Puffiness more around 2 months for me. Of course everyone's experience is different with different estrogens, different medicine combinations, forms of estrogen, amounts of estrogen, and dna genetics.
I also saw only small changes till 3 months, at 4 much more.
This is just in my experience. I am sure TSes with higher doses and different stuff have much more quick changes.
The small pains I felt before 3 months was nothing till then. At that point the real pains set in, very aching and the actual tip seemed to double in length. But any touch against them was very sharp and they seemed to hit everything.
I am sure the others will tell of their own experience to, and Kathy getting 4 months experience with big results, sounds like more experience then me.
Kendra. I wouldn't say I had more experience. Just 4 months, but pretty good growth. I especially noticed the "puffiness under my armpits, where the breasts extended to. I was off HRT for 3 months, and did NOT lose a thing. I just started again about 5 days ago, but no soreness in my nipples yet.
I was a fast "grower" and the soreness settled in almost right away when the first changes started (around the third week). I still do have spurts here and there. They get really sore and itchy and then it goes away for awhile.
They softened almost immediately on starting antiandrogen. Then when I started on estrogen it only took, if I recall correctly, a little over a month for the soreness to start - they were already bulgy by that time.

If I recall, for me it my nipples started to hurt after about a month. They didn't start to hurt until my breasts actually started to grow.

I forgot as well! ;) I think it was about six to eight weeks after hormones. They really hurt, very much indeed....but it was a wonderful experience nonetheless. :)

I believe for me it was somewhere around 2 weeks....not sure why I started feeling the pain so early, just did. Prob 3 weeks before I noticed a physical change and 4 weeks before it was definate. By 6 weeks there was a huge difference...
According to my TransLog, I attained a solid A-cup by the end of the first month. If I recall, the 'sensation' started the second or third week.
But since then -- nada (I measure myself at the start of every month and log the results.)
The good new (for me) is, lately it's getting uncomfortable to walk without support again. Maybe another growth spurt is on the way <*hope, hope*> ;D ;D

Well, I'm a small B, but I love going around my place without a bra on. I don't know, it just feels good knowing I have a chest I like looking at. I haven't tried running in quite a while though. Well, I do have a couple of sports bras if I need them.

About two days after starting HRT, I began with a high dose, I got the itches but it was still about 3 or 4 weeks before any noticeable growth occurred. My nipples really have not progressed the way I would like, the rest me is good but my nipples could be a little more pronounced. Has anyone tried the vacuum thing?
I'm just at 7 weeks in and me nips began to get sore about a week or so ago.
Skin is changing too, getting softer, beard growth has slowed but no difference in the cup size yet. I don't expect the nips to get much bigger though.
My wife tapped me on that spot the other day and looked very apologetic when I said, "Owww!"

My experience is kind like yours, Brandi. The soreness came on pretty quickly, less than two or three weeks. They still hurt. It's wonderful!

My nipples started hurting about two weeks after being on HRT. They still hurt not as they grow some days more so than others. I have been on HRT for the last year and three months and my breasts are now a full A cup and still growing.

i have been treating myself with herbs for about 4 months now and i dont know how to musers them but i can wear traing bra now and they feel realy goodwhen i am in the shower but the hurt a little tiny bit when i git up in the moring, they ich mostly at night and the nipples have gotton bigger and that round area around them too. but thee only thing i can figure out is why what i think is milk just started to seep out of my right one not much just about like 4 drops if that but i feel ok infact i love it. cant wat till they git bigger cross my fingers i have a small body type so we will see best of luck girls

I will say that I think milk leakage is abnormal and something you should see your doctor about. You do have a doctor, right? ;)

I think self-medication, even if it's OTC herbal supplements, can be very dangerous and thus unwise, especially if you're taking the large amounts that would be required to make physical changes. It all has to go through your liver, no matter who sold it to you. And with many of these supplements, you cannot be certain of what's really in the pills you're taking.
If you are getting leakage from your nipples, especially if you're only taking OTC hormone supplements, I think you should get to an MD very soon before any long term damage results, Valery. This is NOT usual and could perhaps be a sign of a serious condition. Of course, I can't say that for sure which is why I agree with Melissa on seeing a doctor. He or she will know wht's really going on and what to do about it.
I've seen alot of info on when nipples begin to hurt, what I was wondering was, For how long do they hurt? How long will I be putting up with this? Gah! I leep leaning/bumping against them - OUCH!! :o

I'm probably 4 years on HRT now...sheesh doesn't seem that long but I still go through the "nipple pain" stages occasionally. Last month I skipped an injection and when I started back up it was like beginning HRT over again (nipple pain wise).
If it's still happening 4 years later I don't know how long it may last....I do know that my size has continued to slowly increase over the years which is contradictory to what is normal. I'm not complaining though LOL.....and on that note, please, ladies do your self examinations. I know I get lazy about doing them but it is SO important. I have a little diagram that shows how to properly do a breast exam that I got from the Komen Foundation. It shows and describes how to do the exam correctly and probably more importantly it hangs on a door knob so every time I go into my closet it forces me to think about the exam. You can order a free copy of these BSE (breast self-exam) cards from www.komen.org (I think this is a legal link to post...if not please remove it and I will adjust to make it so).

Gosh...I don't know if I have an intersex condition. But mine are always erect, and sometimes painful. I wonder now what the HRT Will do. I'm getting close to starting it.

It took about 2 months or so for me. Unfortunately that's all I ever got from HRT.
Mine started about the 2nd month but my breast buds were huge. They were very large.
I was on a low dose of E for about five yrs. almost 20 yrs. ago. No andro blockers. Breast buds developed within 4 mos. tingling and soreness as well. Then the sensitivity stopped. I started a higher dose regimen in March. Have had no reactions like the 1st time. I am beginning to think that since I already had my "2nd puberty" I may not get a 3rd. The new regimen includes andro blockers & progesterone and I am hoping for new development, but alas I'm still waiting. I have referenced my recent estradiol lab results which were 33.2 pg/ml and I was surprised to learn that this level is indicative of a post-menopausal female. In addition, it is also a level that is consistent with the levels of a cis male. Baffled by this! Will test again before the end of the month and see my endo in early Aug. Although, I am in my late 60's feel like I will need my E level to be in the 70-90 range before I will see any new growth and development. Will see what the Dr. says!
I was on spiro for two months before I started estrogen. Itchiness came first, then the sensitivity. I guess a new type of sensitivity, as mine were always sensitive. (Aren't everybody's?) I actually had girl nipples after a month of just spiro. I'm a skinny lady, but I got boob growth within three days of estrogen.
I'm nearing 5months (in 5days) and my breast growth doesn't seem all that significant. :( My nipples have not changed really, a little bit of puffiness but no change increase in diameter. Really hoping things start to change.
There hasn't been a day since I started where my pain/tenderness was so bad that the slightest thing would hurt.
I was low dose the for the first three months, got my blood work done. My endo doubled my E dosage (still low dose IMO) but the E is doing its job and my T and E levels are definitely both moving in the right direction. Just haven't seen quite the changes I thought I would.
I've seen far greater changes "down town", that's for sure!
I have been on hormones on and off for the last 15 years. There seams to be kind of flash back effect. My body seams memorizing past estrogen intakes. I am on the 8th day now and my nipples hurting like never before. The worst time is actually in the afternoon to the evening. Once I am in bed and massage my breasts it seams ease quite a bit. - I wonder if I will eventually start lactating?
The first few day I always have strong morning erections and fluid discharge. By now there are no more erections and
the fluid is very small and watery no more lubricants.
My focus has completely shifted to my breasts. There where moments a few days ago that I felt almost orgasmic by touching my areola's and nipples.

I am using bio-identical hormones and around one week started to feel tenderness, then outright pain by week two! I am an A cup (48 band size) and it feels like I am rushing at B cup size, I am not out yet so this is a bit of a conundrum! :) However, it is wonderful to feel my nipples perked up and tender! I lowered my usage for a few days out of fear and it subsided, but now back to regular strength and starting hurt again - seat belts are the devil's tool! Yet I DO LOVE the pain, it just reinforces the breast growth that is happening and makes feel like myself!

Thank you all so much for sharing. I started today, and my nipples became erect within 3 hours after taking the pill! Wow! I am going to enjoy the ride!
My nipples got sore, stiff and larger within maybe a few days. I'm now a month in and ive got a little bit of fat developing and really sore nipples.

Mine started in the 4th week, then puffy areolae after that for a few weeks. I have golfball size breastbuds now after 3 months.

I remember having questions like these. After about four weeks for me I noticed considerable sensation in my nipples.
aw, I feel so behind! I'm at just over 3 months now and there's been no real development. there's been a few times where I thought I was starting to feel something in my nipples but then it'd go away after a day or two :(
Same here, Maddie. Sometimes they feel a bit puffy, and in the first month they occasionally felt a titch sore.
Just recently I started wearing bras and falsies again, and wonder if that has any effect, all that jiggling being a sort of constant massage. It might explain my curious lapse in activity; I also went off HRT for a little while, then increased dosage, and increased it again 2 weeks ago.
Just started, mine haven't hurt yet, but the nipples became erect within 3 hours of taking the first pill and have stayed erect since! So we will see how soon the pain comes......
