Title: Christmas songs and desktop wallpaper
Post by: Red on November 16, 2009, 10:13:01 PM
HI all,

I was wondering if any of you know some really good Christmas sons that I would have heard of (I'm an 80's kid) and who are they by?  I'm looking up some songs to start listening to (it's a once a year thing with me).  I'm also looking for a lot of very pretty Christmas desktop wallpaper.  Anyone know where I can get it?

Thank you :)
Red

One of my favorites is Santa Baby  (http://www.google.com/url?q=http://popup.lala.com/popup/792915087354673300&ei=mygCS9yfA4KlnQfrwfxi&sa=X&oi=music_play_track&resnum=1&ct=result&cd=2&ved=0CAgQ0wQoADAA&usg=AFQjCNHfiNUlPSDIRDthJ0n6lgcGS79cHg) by Eartha Kitt.

Well, with the classics there is

Nat King Cole - he only did one Xmas record, never needed to do more, its still one of the best

Joan Baez - Noel - on Vanguard Records one of the clearest voices ever, with arrangements by Peter Schickele, better known as PDQ Bach.

David Grisman did a pretty good bluegrass Xmas Record

The Vince Guaraldi Trio's soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas is a modern classic.
