Title: Nebido?
Post by: Miniar on November 18, 2009, 07:37:01 AM
Anyone heard anything about this? Tried this?

It's supposed to be a new T-shot thing, one that you can inject with longer intervals with less "ups and downs".

I've already gathered that it's Insanely expensive.

I've only found one comment from one guy who's been taking it and he had a bad experience.. so... help a guy out?

*edit* Yeah! I was gonna add, this question's posted because I just got off the phone with the Endo up here, and he tells me that the only two things currently available in Iceland are this, and t-gel... so.. yeah... *

Never heard if it. Your endo can't write a script and let you order from out of the country? It may be worth asking if you haven't already.

Tried arguing against it and got to a point where he conceded that "if" I don't like what we got in the country, he may be able to sort stuff out so it's ordered in for me.
(Looking up Nebido has led me to believe that it's gonna run me 100$ a month, rounded down, at the very least!)

Ingredients at a glance
According to some online sources, the product contains 1000mg of Testosterone Undecanoate. The manufacturer suggests this is a natural testosterone, yet with some research, we have discovered that this seems to be a steroid or Andriol.

ok it is one sites opinion

Here is a blog of comments about nebido, both good and bad.

Found that site already.
It's marketed primarily as a T enhancer for Cis-blokes.
Which ofcourse makes me twitch a bit, since, if it releases that slowly that it doesn't give them "too much T", then.. how's it work for me?
(no, it's not actually injected into penis)

Ok the shot part came from a dif site and reading more I learned differently.
I guess it sounds iffy to me.

sounds suspect to me as well, hence the asking....

I got "tricked" into paying 40$ for a fibro medication that doesn't work, I'll be damned if I get "pressured" into paying almost 200$ for a T thing that doesn't work "right".

oww x_x

only stuff I can find at my "usual places" is Testosterone Cypionate ($160.00 a vial) and Testosterone enanthate ($92.00 a box)

I know!

I feel like I'm being ripped off when it comes to my T, on several levels (as my newly updated thread over in the PMS zone testifies to...)

Nebido is offered to every transguy at my gender clinic in the south west of the UK, it's their preferred option because of it being slow release and supposedly less mood fluctuation. Like you, I'm skeptical because there's hardly any personal experience stories or comments to be found. I now know a handful of guys who are on it and they're doing just fine. It's 1000mg of testosterone and is injected every 12 weeks, so it works out at a smidge under 100mg a week..... (I know we're not meant to talk numbers so this may be removed but you can find that dosage info anywhere you read about Nebido).
I'm wary of long-acting hormones though due to a VERY bad experience with Depo Provera, so that's the main reason I avoided it.
The side-effects are meant to be more limited than with Sustanon too.
