Title: Dying Peach Fuzz?
Post by: Ryan on November 18, 2009, 05:27:16 PM
Would dying my upper lip peach fuzz make me look incredibly stupid?

I'd at least like to look like I've got the beginnings of a mustache coming through. You know when kids are like 15 and they have a few dark hairs coming out. I want that.

I'm guessing the answer to this question is yes, you'll look stupid. But god damn I want some facial hair! Even if it is only teenager bumfluff!

But feel free too look stupid if you so desire.

I wish my peach fuzz would die, along with all the other hair on my face!!!

Oh, I see what you mean ;) Let's see, I don't know how you can dye peach fuzz without it looking like you just rubbed dye all over your top lip. Unless your peach fuzz is somewhat thick, which would defeat the purpose of it being peach fuzz, then I'm not sure it'll work. But hey, try it out and let us know :) (pictures included)

I know a guy who does this. He does a good job, too--no dye all over the place. But...well, I think it looks kind of stupid, and so does everyone else I know.

But would a stranger think it looks funny? I mean, we all KNOW that he's dyeing. That colors our perceptions. Er, no pun intended.

In the end, you have to decide what's right for you. If dyeing makes you feel better, then you can try it once and see how it goes. But do be prepared for people to rib you about it.

I'd say try it. If it looks ridiculous, you can always shave it off before anyone sees. If it looks borderline ridiculous and you want to try it out in public, and the verdict is that it still looks ridiculous...you can always shave it off. Go for it, you've got nothing to lose (except some peach fuzz that'll grow back).

I've heard guys using just for men on their peach fuzz. I've never really heard of much success but I guess you can try it. :P

Yanno, this mind sound kinda embarassing as a suggestion, but to get an idea of what you'll look like with dyed peach fuzz, try putting mascara on it, if you have any(it's pretty cheap if you don't, probably cheaper than a bad dye job ;) ). That'll coat it black and give you an idea of what you'd look like with dark peach fuzz.

If they sell Just for Men facial hair dye where you are, you could go with that. I had a decent amount of hair on my upper lip and chin prior to going on T, and used that stuff occasionally. It does not dye your skin, but sticks to the hairs. The most important thing to remember, though, is to either match the dye color exactly to your natural hair color, or get a color that's slightly lighter. There's nothing weirder than a blonde guy with a black mustache.

I used a regular hair dye for my facail hair as it comes in patches at the moment, and it didn't look too bad at all! Really good actually but I have the hairs there not really fuzz there actual stubble just blonde.. so maybe that helps the hair dye stick to it.

I would try it what have you got to lose?!?

Let us know what you do and pictures!!
