Title: The Game
Post by: Silver on November 24, 2009, 03:14:53 PM
You have lost it.

If you haven't heard of the game- losethegame.com (http://losethegame.com)

Now you've lost.

The game exists only to frustrate people.

I actually had no clue what this meant until two minutes ago. Now I do. I've been hearing it for years. And I appear to have lost. :'(

*sigh* I was actually winning. A streak as long as that will be hard for me to beat.
Though given my spotty short-term memory, as long as I never visit this thread again, I'll be back on top in no time. ^_^

My ex-housemate used to partake in this, so whenever we had an argument my last words would be "the game". rrraarrrr *evil*. ^_^

Haha, the funny thing is I didn't even loose when I read the title, it took me actually clicking the thread to get it... And loose. Evil.
The thing about the game is when you think about it, there's no way in which you can possibly be happy as a result of it! Because, of course, the only time you're aware of it is when you've lost, and it's impossible to enjoy a winning streak.
Actually, I correct myself. It's just enjoyable to make other people loose. Hah, that's the real way to win.   >:-)

This was me, too! So I had to click it and see...  ;D

My friends and I are always playing this, so whenever I lose the game, I say (as loudly as possible) "Damn, I lost the game again!". And then there's a chorus of "Ahh!"s. It's pretty funny. And whenever says "You just lost the Game" to me, I say "You just lost it too!" FAIL

I've heard that there are some ways to actually win the Game (although, once you "win", you can still lose). The first is; get a designated official (any person selected by a group) to explain what the Game is. Second; get the Pope to admit he lost the Game. I have no idea who came up with these, but I don't think you really can win the Game. That would defeat the purpose!  ;)

I have no idea what you are all on about. I'm not going to ask... and I'm not going to follow that link either. So I guess I shall just remain oblivious of whatever it is.

This is just all way too weird for me  ???

You know, my SO had to have the game explained to him three or four times on different occasions before he stopped winning.

Our whole group of friends would break into a:
"I just lost the game!"
"Ahhh!"
"Awwww man!"
"You suck, you made me lose!"
and he just stood there like, "What game?"

We would say, "Are you kidding, we've explained this to you before! You're just trying to beat the system!"
and he'd say, "You mean Mario Kart?"

I can't believe this thread hasn't died yet.

Or it has, it just seems to attract a hell of a lot of necromancers. Carry on in your losing~
