Title: Voice of an Angel
Post by: Megan on November 26, 2009, 08:45:35 PM
I was on this game called Second Life, and I was singing at a karaoke club. I had like 3 encores, and they said I had a voice of angel. And they wanted to hear me again and again, and that I should go on American Idol.

I ask who I sounded like them, and they said young Madonna.

I am assuming I passed to them, and not only that but had a singing talent. This one girl said, "Yeah are you done now?", and a guy in the audience said, "Can you beat that!", who ask a bunch of encores of me and wanted to hear me over and over. "Yeah I can sure beat that" she said.

I feel weird about it, but not one person said I sounded like a guy. Even though my voice was so weak in going up and down and speaking, I think I sounded like a croaking old woman. Then they said I should get a record deal.

Megan... How awesome is that?!

I've been doodling around just planning to work on my voice. And there you go blowing away the curve! Well that's my problem. You just keep doing what's working!

How affirming that must feel for you! I'm so happy for you.

I've done the SL thing, and I have listened to vocal performances there always wondering IF.... and there you went and did it. Good show!

I been working on my voice intensely for a few months I suppose 10 minutes in the car. But Second life is the best place to do it because if it goes wrong who cares it's not like it matters since they don't know you.

And people will judge based on the voice

Mind posting a video/recording of your singing? Can't speak for everyone, but i'd like to hear.

And, we all sound different to ourselves than we do to others. I think it's related to our ears being so close to our voice boxes :P
