YOU BLEW THE PERFECT CHANCE. ;D
But you know better than anyone as to what you must do. But it was a nice save, HON.
Janet
It happens. I have an avatar on my Wii named Lauren. I also type my intitials as LCH when I reach a leader/scoreboard. My middle name is Chelsea
All characters I play are all female. My ex use to just glare at me when I would play. She knew the truth but only her.
Janet
You could always fall back on the common "I'd rather stare at female butts than male butts when playing a game".

The opportunity is not gone. The door has been opened.
So...what keeps you from taking advantage of the opportunity?
Well, you can go to your mom and say "You know when you asked my why I was playing as a girl in that video game? Well, I lied" and then start explaining. It will take a little more guts but you can do it.
I was the same way with making female characters, even before I admitted the situation to myself. Even now I really don't like it when games force you into playing a male character (the exception being Assassin's Creed 2, I kind of have a crush on Ezio -- first and only crush on a guy and he's not even a real person :().

Thirded and I don't think you have blown the chance at all. Explain how deep the GID is, the pain etc.

Please go back, find your mother, and tell her right now!
Say something like "Mum, about what you said when I was playing that game... I think you already know the truth..." Then let her speak. You may be surprised by what she says.
She obviously knows or suspects already. Mine was my best ally and got my whole family to accept me. She even paid for me to be privately treated out of her own pocket! She also knew right from the word go that I was her daughter. Mind you from age five onwards I did make it pretty obvious! But my point is that mother always said "A mother knows her baby like no one else," and she was right.
So please don't delay. If she is anything like mine she'll even keep your secret if you want, but tell her and trust her. She can help you.
Seventh. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Standing with her arms across tapping her foot
You go tell your mother, Young Lady.
Janet
Hehe well i only just jumped back on the computer now and my mum has gorne to bed haha.
But im not saying i will, but i may just bring up the subject tomorrow with her..... ;D
thanks for the help!!!
Juts me
you just did what the rest of us did so many times and if you don't bite the bulllet/grasp the nettle/take the plunge you'll be like the rest of us in regretting all the missed chances to get things out into the open and become the person you think you are.
Your Mum's comment is more a wish that whats she thought isn't really true and her tough macho young son doesn't really think he's a girl and want a sex change.
Have you seen a shrink yet?

I don't think you blew it as much as you quickly determined maybe it wasn't the right time.
I just had this happen on Thanksgiving with my brother-in-law when he came over after the meal. We started playing the Wii Warioware game, and when we got to character selection, he asks "Why is yours pink?" I looked at the screen to notice all the male Mii's had blue nameplates while the female ones had pink ones. I'd completely forgotten I'd changed my avatar back in April, around the same time I'd recustomized main World of Warcraft character.
Sheepishly, I tell him "Because it's female." He responds "Why are all your toons chicks now?" For a moment, a split-second, I considered just coming out right then and there. I think different family members are catching on to things in varying degrees, with my brother-in-law being near the top. But then I thought to myself that I wasn't planning on telling him before he came over, so I'm certainly not really ready to do so right now out of the blue.
So I told him "It's just something different." -_-
It was never brought up again for the rest of the visit, but it certainly lingered in my mind. Especially after he left when I realized we'd gone into my bedroom
while my gaff was hanging on a doorknob. :embarrassed:
LOL. I almost got outed playing Mario Kart with my in-laws last year. It was like "Oh no, Jessica's one of our friends and we just use her saved game when we play Mario Kart." Now that I'm out it's not a big deal. I'm not sure if anyone ever noticed that I didn't have a Mii with my male name. ;)
I agree, you haven't lost the chance yet: the opportunity is still there.
I always pick female characters in games, even from before I figured out who I was. In hindsight, I suppose it should have been a sign.
When my younger brothers would ask, I would always say I either chose the default character or picked at random.
