Title: Hullo Thar! I be Diane~
Post by: Crow on November 30, 2009, 09:04:31 PM
Hey there--

My name's Diane. 83 I'm an 18-year-old college sophomore. My major is a junior high English, social studies and ESL education-- I absolutely love adore middle schoolers and learning, so what could be better? Aaand I don't really have a gender. Which is why I'm here. Fancy that! (As far as pronouns go, though, I tend to use the neutral pronoun "ze," but really, you can use whatever pronoun you want for me. He, she, they, ze... just not "it" please. XD)

It's been a while since I was new to a site. Usually I just stick to my little art-website corner and don't branch out much. But this seemed like a pretty snazzy place, and I figured I'd give it a try and see if I can find some friends and advice around here~

Here's kind of a me-in-a-nutshell thing:
-I LOVE art. I spend a rather large portion of my free time drawing. I write, too. Really, I just generally like creating things.
-I'm an absolute, incurable optomist. I can almost always point out the light at the end of any tunnel.
-I'm very longwinded. Believe it or not, this post is fairly short, by my standards.

...that's the gist of it. You'll probably learn more about me as time goes on. 83 So, you all should tell me a bit about yourselves. I'd love to get to know some people~ *plops down and attempts to make zirself at home*

Hi Diane, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3700 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Blessed Be.
Janet

Oh yay! More artsy sorts~ 83

Denver, you say? What a nice place to live! I was born in Colorado, but moved away when I was only a year old-- But I've been to Colorado a few times on vacation and I positively adore the state. (Now I'm stuck in the Midwest. Which is nowhere near as fantastic. We have a lot of cornfields and closed-minded people and not much else, here.)

Short stories! I write a lot of those, too. And poetry, and microfiction, and anything along those lines, really. I don't typically write anything longer than about 20-30 pages in length, though, because my plots tend to fall apart after that.

I have a bunch of characters I've created to draw and write stories about! Most of them form one big, interconnecting plot, but I have a little side-plot that's completely seperate from the main one. (The main plot consists of various anthropomorphic/animal characters, and have upwards of 70 characters. The other plot has human characters and is more historically based-- and a lot smaller. It has something around 10-15 characters.)
