Evening, guys. Or whatever time of day it might be where you are when you access this page.
I've got a question about STP packers. I've looked at several promising ones online, but my main concerns are about price (some of them range upwards of $50) and whether I'll really like the thing. After all, you can't exactly return it.
I've decided I want to try making a packer STP myself. I'll be ordering the same packer I got my ex, who identifies as androgyne, a very good quality thing for the mere $12 + shipping I'll be paying for it. I've seen good tutorials about turning a packer into an STP device, and my ex has even tried it with hers with a pretty good degree of success.
I guess my question is... Have any of you converted packers into STP devices? If so, did it turn out as well as you'd hoped/expected? I know how to go about making my packer STP once I've got it, but I'm afraid to just go jabbing holes in the thing until I'm sure it'll be worth the effort (and bit of extra money) to try.
I was thrilled with mine when i got it though it does need some tweaking to fit me personally. The medicine spoon thing was just too SMALL for me and too difficult (i could get it fine with JUST the tubing but not with the packy.)
So i cut out a piece from the bulb end of a turkey baster and stuck that on with the spoon. Shortened the tubing a bit so that there only about two inches or so of stuff sticking out the back, and presto. It worked MUCH better.
Play around with length and width of tubing. I find that longer tubing means you can pull the packy up a bit when you wear it, but you need to push it unnaturally DOWN to get the flow to...well... flow. Hence the shorter tubing that allows it to sit at the right angle so i don't have to push down as much. Extra width from the baster bulb helped prevent flowing over.
I'm playing around with making a Go Girl device work with it since it's bigger and angled the right way. Just waiting for my order to come in....
I was worried about poking holes in the packy too, which is why i ordered mine already done. I might order a backup packy just in case. If you DO poke holes, whatever you poke with should be heated - it'll just go right through!
Most of the stuff you need can be found at a drugstore or hardware store. Very cheap if you mess up with tubing or the spoon (or whatever you use).
Good luck!
((I'll try to post pictures later on of the baster plus the Go Girl))
Thanks for all your input, FolkFanatic. As well as the tips. I was planning on poking a hole in it with something heated -- I'm hoping to get one of those nice long screwdrivers like the guy in the tutorial video I watched used. My ex used a screwdriver for hers, as well.
I'd love to see pictures. :)

I ordered an ftm stud from thetransitionalmale, the only problem with it is the length of the tubing, too long. Compared to others, it was very cheap in price.
From that experience I would suggest making your own. That way everything fits you right. You can choose the tubing, measure it, and choose what size and type of spoon or w/e that fits you best. There's no way anyone can make it customized enough to fit you perfect except you yourself.
Good luck.
Oh and id like to see pictures of your experiment as well!
Not of the whole packer/STP (i'm sure that would be a violation either here or the image site i use) but the base and device. I'm sure you can figure out the rest! ;)
If there's a way to post the whole picture let me know and i will - or i can email.

I also have a SheWee on the way to see how that works too. Won't be done till next week though....

Questions. Lol :P
I have the same color packer, they don't make them anymore, where did you get it from? Or when?
Is it one packer and you put in different devices, or multiple packers?
Is the baster, the bulb connected to a tube, or is it the whole baster?
How did you make the holes? What did you use?
Have used the go-girl one yet? How did it work?
:)
"I have the same color packer, they don't make them anymore, where did you get it from? Or when?"
I actually had someone from another forum make the original STP for me and he used a leftover packy from a previous order (hadn't been used or converted at the time, guy who wanted it originally backed out - don't know when the packy was ordered.) Don't know what kind or where he got it - i can email and ask though? I got the packy about a week ago.
"Is it one packer and you put in different devices, or multiple packers?"
Same packer, different devices. I just peeled the packer off the tubing lol. I plan on getting a second packer at some point because i like this one as a regular packer and don't want to ruin the nice color by stretching it too much (especially if i can't find another one like it.)
"Is the baster, the bulb connected to a tube, or is it the whole baster?"
I took the already made STP device (medicine spoon plus tubing) and cut off the lip of the medicine spoon. I was lucky i had a baster bulb that fit perfectly over the plastic spoon piece. I used superglue to seal it (and check it every night to make sure there are not cracks.)
I tried the whole baster and it DOES work, but you can't put it in a packy or leave it in your pants. You can imagine why. :o
"How did you make the holes? What did you use?"
The packy was already modified for me - long heated screwdriver through the center. Everything else i cut or modified with regular scissors.
" Have used the go-girl one yet? How did it work?"
Not as good as i hoped - the material is very flexible and i found it leaking out the back either because i didn't seal right or it bent. :-\ I have to play around with it some more, i guess.
I'm also going to try to modify one with the SheWee and retry the Baster Bulb with something slightly smaller and not cut as much away (which, so far, has worked BEST.)
Won't be able to post pictures of anything until next week though - i'm doing all of this while i'm not out to my parents, so they have to be at work while I work lol. Thankfully mom hasn't noticed the missing turkey baster (which was tucked in the back of a drawer, never been used before lol.) Would hate to have to explain it to her....

That's kind of my thought process behind it. Plus I'd feel more free to fiddle around with it and adjust it as necessary. I'd be glad to post pictures of the process here (if it
isn't against the ToS) or send them to you some other way.
FolkFanatic: Do both of those designs work pretty well for you?

Woah that's lucky! Could you ask plz. Lol

Oh I see. I don't think mine can come out. I feel you on that, id hate to mess up mine.

Yeah, kinda big. No where to store it.

You're supposed to hold it against you from the top and bottom, not the sides. Also I was wondering, the devices don't slip out?

Lol I understand, right now im staying with my parents too and its kind of hard to hide these things.
