KEYSTONE — A father was "shocked" last weekend when a local deputy called asking whether his son was having a sex change operation, according to a report from the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

The trouble started when a woman was caught trying to use a man named Daniel's ski pass at Keystone Resort. When asked for a date of birth, she complied but "was slow to recall it," according to the report.

The woman claimed to be in the middle of a sex change and couldn't provide any personal information beyond the birthday and middle name.

if Daniel gave the pass to Wanda why was she charged with theft? are these ski pass things nontransferable or something?

that whole article just wreaked of fail, to me. I didn't see much "gender bending" in their 2 "gender bending fraud" stories.

Yes, the article smells suspiciously like desperation to attract readers. Even the headline is wrong, since the criminal impersonation charge came because she claimed a sex change.  If she had simply admitted to using her boyfriend's pass, rather than actually being him, there wouldn't have been any impersonation.
