Title: Audio books about Transsexuality?
Post by: Debra on December 04, 2009, 09:59:17 AM
Well I bought a book "True Selves" because my grandmother wanted to know more and understand everything better. Well she can't really read very well anymore so I watned to find it as an audiobook but when I search for Audio books with the term 'transsexual' all I get are like 3 results that are just Feminization CDs used for Transition =(

Anyone know of any good audio books out there?

I'm guessing that the unit threshold for sales in order to even think about making an audio book is well over what most trans books sell in print.  But you could record it for her, it could be your personal podcast to her.

Well, it's fiction, but a good read (and sympathetic) anyway:

Well the pod cast thing got me thinking, I bet there are a lot of podcasts of radio discussions and perhaps even lectures by people.  That might be worth checking out.

Thanks for the responses.

That's not a bad idea, to read the book to her. She doesn't have a computer but I could record it to an audio cd for her.
