Title: t and sports
Post by: fdfge on December 07, 2009, 08:41:55 PM
just wondering, if your on t and you play a competitive sport, one that requires drug testing, will it show up positive for w/e it is they test for? in other words, can you be on t and still "legally" compete in highly competitive sports? it would seriously suck if you couldnt..

I would say if you are drug tested no as your testosterone level would be elevated. The difference between men and women levels is pretty substantial.
Andrew
Just noticed my wording was backward, yes you will test positive.

Not as a woman.

High-level, I'm not sure if you can even compete as a man in this era of hormonal and genetic testing.

Well, if you're injecting enough testosterone that it's on the average male level, then wouldn't they also check if the levels were normal?
