Today I asked the teachers at my school to call me by the name George. I was really nervous, but I summoned my confidence and told all of them [except my Japanese teacher because that is an issue I'm not ready to tackle]. They all used George when talking to me or about me, and if they used my female-name they corrected themselves. It was fantastic.
I am slowly, ever so slowly, becoming a guy in the eyes of the world.
sweeeeet!!!! isnt it awesome!!!! CONGRATS man!!
Congrats!

You've got great teachers. Congrats.
Hey George, great that u took that step and tell all your teachers. It aint easy seeing as u have no idea how they would react. Real brave of u!

Feels great doesnt it when ur not invisible anymore and some part of u is being recognised, slowly letting the real you come through. Keep it going ;) Lets hope the Japanese teacher will do it soon.
Enjoy!

Congrats - it feels wonderful when things finally go in the right direction (i'm still on a high after doctor visit the other day resulted in a KNOWLEDGEABLE doctor willing to write out referrals to a therapist and endocrinologist.)
I'm still on the line - i don't know if i want to start using my chosen name NOW or wait until after i duke it out with my parents and start T.
My current name can be heard as male or female. Chosen name is decidedly male. Chosen name would be seen as a "nick name" by the profs until i have it legally changed.... Decisions, decisions.
Thanks everyone.
