Check it out, comment on the post, tell me what you think! Mostly directed towards FtMs, but also applicable to MtFs. Kudos to SilverFang for reminding me to get off my buttocks and start it.

it seemed a little sexist and heteronormative to me.

It is completely sexist and heteronormative for a reason. Most guys do not pass at first unless they adopt a very heterosexual male image, loose clothing, short hair, low voice. To pass is to become more masculine, and masculine in general society consists of a lot of sexist traditions and habits. If I had suggested that early-transition FtMs continue to keep their hair long and wear tight jeans, most likely, they would not pass.

a couple of these things were new to me, and potentially useful. Awesome of you to take the time to write it all out! Bookmark'd.

did you talk about how to correct people when they call you ma'am? Yea it seems obvious, but its hard for me to correct people and I hardly ever do.

or maybe.. how to deal with people asking if you are a guy or a girl.

Maybe the Standards of Care? Or tips on naturally deepening your voice? Binding techniques? Transpeople tend to have a lot of unusual concerns that don't really get addressed much anywhere else.

Don't you have a cool pattern for binders or something? Maybe put that up along with binding tips.

What are Standards of Care? I've heard of them, but still not sure what they are, or if they are a UK thing.  ???

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're on the wiki.

The Harry Benjamin standards of care are international guidelines for the treatment of gender identity disorders. Not particually relevent for a blog about transitioning without hormones or surgery however.

P.s really enjoyed reading the blog.

second'd. Maybe a  photo of yours, if you can get one, as an example of the finished product too. I'm sure there's plenty of guys out there who can't get a binder (money, parents, etc) who'd give sewing a chance if they thought they could make one themselves.
