After starting micronized progesterone Ive noticed a tingling sensation in my hands and feet. Normally this would be caused by poor blood circulation. Has anybody experienced this side effect after taking progesterone?
Melanie
In a word no.
Been on Progesterone for 30 years (micronised for the last 8 to 10 of them) without ever having that sort of effect.
That doesn't sound right at all - it could be unrelated - just a coincidence but it maybe an idea to check in with your doc.
Just an update. Im booked in to see my doc next Tuesday. Ive spoken to a few others, who tell me that tingling sensations etc can sometimes happen when the body is adjusting to the progesterone.
This morning the tingling has subsided somewhat. Anyhows lets see what the doc says.

I had something similar when I switched from spiro to androcur so yeah it could be a 'normal' bodily adjustment thing like you said :P
I had that for the first two weeks or so of E.
Just an update here and at the same time an answer to my own question.
Tingling turned out to be unrelated to the progesterone. Apparently due to HRT Ive lost muscle mass and strength. This means that when exercising, I have somehow pulled a nerve somewhere which means when I sit for a period it can cause 'tingling' leg. Usually with my previous strength, this would not have happened. Solution has been to sit on an extra cushion for a couple of weeks, until it repairs itself.
