I went to talk to the vice principal yesterday, and she told me that my parents needed to send her a message approving the switch. So, that afternoon my dad sent her an email approving it. The school counselor called me into her office right after school today, and showed me my file on the computer - name changed. :) Gender apparently is a more difficult thing to change on the records, but apparently it's in progress. W00t!

Today was the first day I was actually excited for the teachers to call roll. Unfortunately all the teachers I had today tend to just look around and see who's there without calling names. Oh well, I still know it's there even if I don't hear it. ;D
