Tips and tricks as well as questions about finding, making or using soft or hard packers that don't necessarily come with STP capabilities. (FYI pack and pee are not generally used for pack and play)
I have a tip.
For anyone who has a 3.5 inch Mr. Limpy packer. I always thought that the balls were just TOO big for me. It was too big in my underwear and it was just uncomfortable and the bulge seemed to big for my size.
You may think.. well cant I get a packer that has normal sized balls?... no. You cant. BUT you can use regular scissors and just cut away the excess and make the balls less wide. I did it and am really happy with the new size.
hopefully that may be helpful for someone.
I have a question:
Do packers wear out? If so, how soon? I just ordered a 3.5 Mr. Limpy, so I want to know how fast I'll have to replace it, if at all. I was thinking about making a mold with it once I have it, and then filling it with silicone or latex once the original wears out. Think it'll work?
Yes packers do wear out over time some last longer than others depending on different factors, if it's stored properly, how often it's used and how rough the owner is with it.
I don't know of anyone making a mold of their packer. I would assume that would be difficult 1 to get a good mold especially without destroying the original packer and 2 getting the proper material to make a realistic/durable packer. In fact I would think getting the base materials and tools needed to make your own packer would be more expensive than just buying a replacement.

Lol. Okay then.
Seriously, as far as guys being rough with their packers, I've heard some stories man. :D

The one I'm getting it a soft packer, so unfortunately it doesn't really work that way. :P
a ftm friend of mine packs and says that his gets really sticky and has to rub it with corn starch or something. is this normal? is it the material that does that? if so, what material does that/they have others, yes? i think it being sticky would be very uncomfortable.. and i'm looking to get my first one (excited!) and want it to be a good experience.
more questions:
i'm right to think small would look best, right? because for bio men they're not always huge.. so it would be normal, yes?
are there different harnesses? is a harness even needed?
also, i've seen "mr limpy" on the boards - is that the best kind?
perhaps someone could link to what they use?
i feel stupid asking all this stuff, but i just have no idea. i think that's all for now..
thanks, y'all.
They are psychos, sometimes all it takes is a nice word or two, but, as my friends say, it's great to love crazy until crazy loves you back.
Yes, a lot of people have to dust theirs with cornstarch.
Between the normal pink softpack and the goodvibes softpack, I think I like the goodvibes one better. They have a more realistic flesh toned one, and darker skintones for any darker skinned FtMs.
Many of the economically priced packers will need to be powdered with cornstarch to give it a more realistic feel and prolong its life.
The size depends on your personal preference. Guys come in all different sizes down there.
There are many different kinds of harnesses, and some guys make them at home so you have several different options. Some guys go without a harness, just put the packer in tight briefs. This can work for some but can cause issues of the packer moving around and ending up in odd places.
Mr. Limpy is one of the cheaper packer options (usually sold at under $15 US Dollars) manufactured by the Fleshlight Co. It's sold in many different locations on the web and comes in 3 sizes, and currently in only one color (really freakin pink!). It's a good buy for the price, can be a little too squishy to feel completely realistic and as you can tell by the color description it would not pass a visual inspection.
thanks for the good info!
how would one make a harness? would that be easier/cheaper than buying one? i've read some posts, and one of my friends complains about it moving around too much, which makes it uncomfortable.
before purchasing one, i've been think about packing with something else to get used to it. i've been looking online and it suggest socks, or filling a condom with hairgel (which is kinda amusing to me) any other tips? thoughts?
To get a perfect fit on your packer you can make one, or I've heard a couple guys say they use a jockstrap to keep everything in place. Harnesses vary in cost so it just depends on your price range and what exactly you're looking for.
I don't think you're gonna get the same effect from a home made packer or sock that you will from an actual packer.
I saw the really easy elastic one, and yeaaah...I honestly havent tried it, but I dont see two thin pieces of elastic holding it in place while running or doing any strenuous activity.

Can't find the site again to save my life (and in hindsight, it's not impossible I dreamt it) but I once found a site with the schematics to sewing a packer out of scrap fabric and filling it with dry rice (like one of them bean-bag-like things)....
So I did that for a while. It did the job, it had an "appropriate" weight to it, and it was easy to get it to the size I wanted.
Only drawback was... when it broke.. there was rice... everywhere...
I use the goodvibe packer and love it. I am actually in need of a new one soon, I am really rough on them and have worn one out so much that the firm core actually was sticking out of the side but I think they are much better than the cheaper ones because of the firmer core and are a more realistic color. I use baby powder even if you aren't supposed to but I don't put my packer against my skin and I don't really care that much. ::)
ive got a PPP from dj knows dicks and its just massive, i took out the STP tubing as that was making it too rigid so now its very floppy but i was wondering that if i cut a chunk out of the shaft to make it smaller would it be possible to perhaps melt the side of the shaft and the side where the testis are and try to mold them together?
I do things the cheap way_my packer goes into a pop sock then i safety pin it into the inside of my shorts. I know no ones hand is going down there except mine so its pretty safe
I have a Home Grown prosthetic and love it. There are many more realistic colours to chose from and you can have a STP added to it for a small price. The weight feels good, it gives a realistic appearance (no King Kong look) and is nowhere as sticky as the Mr. Limpy but still needs some powder. I wear it against my skin in my briefs (no harness) and have no major shifting problems.
I eventually want to get a Like Real model.
It's all about material. A soft pack like Mr. Limpy is generally made of cyberskin which gives it that soft and squishy feel. This wears down quickly, it's pourous, and as everyone states it gets very sticky because this and so needs a good dusting of cornstarch after a wash and between uses. Others like the ones from goodvibes are silicone and as we all know, silicone is very durable and is easily sanitized and I wouldn't think it needs any dusting, but I've never had one of these.

I've recently seen these and they look fantastic. They even carry STP designs which is even more fantastic! Realistic looking and realistic shades, made from medical grade silicone. Squee! :icon_weee: I would love to get one of these, but the money and commitment isn't something I'm ready for at the moment. Someday though.

How close was the actual colour to that on the chart?

Apparently the STP is ->-bleeped-<-, don't waste the extra 500 dollars.

I've heard this as well. Several guys elsewhere said either it broke on them almost immediately or never really worked right.

DON'T get the ones with the STP option. They cost so much more it should be a crime, the STP doesn't work well, I believe you have to glue the receptacle to your genitalia and it has to be removed every night (for sanitation reasons). From what I've heard the STP versions aren't worth the extra cost, don't work well and are a pain in the butt to maintain.

Pretty close. I'm pleased with the colour of mine. You can get it with or without a STP.
So, my goodvibes packer is falling apart before my very eyes(again) its not that its a bad packer, I am just really rough on them. In your opinion what should I do? Get the silicone mr.right?, stick with the goodvibes packers?, or save up for a like real?(I almost have enough money I would just save up for a few months so that I don't completely wipe out my bank account)
Any opinions or insight would be greatly appreciated.

How rough is really rough? When guys say their packers are falling apart and it's because they "treat them rough" I often wonder what in the world they must have done to it. I ask only because if you're to going to be hard on it (no pun intended lol), I'd stick with the same one or maybe the mr.right. The like real is expensive and if it took a beating (also no pun intended), would be harder to replace.

true enough, I am just wondering if the likereal will put up with the abuse. But i think most of the abuse is the way that I have to arrange it in my underwear so if it is attached to me, I don't think it would wear down the same way(if at all depending on how durable it is).
I have a question: How do y'all keep them in your pants? I wear boxer briefs, so just letting it loose isn't really an option. I'm designing a harness type thing right now, but I'm curious as to how others do it.
I wear a pair of briefs with a hole cut in the outer layer of the fly to put the shaft through, keeping the balls in the fly pouch then either "freeball it" like that or wear boxer briefs over that. I wear it like that because i like how it sits and I personally don't like it touching my skin so it works for me. Its a bit complicated and I have to have alot of underwear but it works for me.
I typically wear briefs because that's how I grew up and what I'm most comfortable with day to day. My packy just sits in them without anything special. When I wear boxer briefs or boxers, I wear a jock strap. I don't put it in the pouch or anything; it sits next to my skin.

I use this method too. I have a Home Grown and am pretty happy with it so far.
I had never heard of the 'Like Real' prosthesis - they look alright and are a damn sight cheaper than the Aussie ones I have seen at ftmprosthetics.com. I wonder how thay compare? Anyone have either of those versions? I can't afford anything like that atm - but in the future when it boils down to surgery or a realistic prosthesis for a fraction of the cost, who knows!
I just fill a condom with hair gel, tie that up, put two small bouncy balls in the remaining space, tie that up, put that into another condom to ensure non-leakage, then put that inside a knee high or thin sock, and tie that. V'oila! Packer.
It passes the feel test too. I frequent a gay bar alot, and asked a few of my gay male friends to tell me if it passed the grab test...and they were like...holy ->-bleeped-<- son...that feels real.
i've tried the mr limpy ...various sizes....and even though the xsmall and small one are nice, they're very pink...and extreemely limp.. they also wear out and tear super quickly. the first one i bought looked like it had a skin disease after less than a week of wearing it.
i now have the gv soft pack, it's a lot firmer, feels a LOT better to me, looks more realistic (i mean realistic as in it can fool people)..
what i did (but this is not for everyone, because you have to find a way to stuff it in your pants comfortably, it's a little tricky): i screwed a hole through the shaft (also removed the silicone core) and inserted a travelmate. so now i proudly own a nice looking stp packer that i can also play with...you actually can, because the travelmate is very rigid
Emil, the only issue I have with using a travelmate in an STP is that in order to not look like an erection you have to flip it down...and then you risk stabbing yourself in the stomach with the travelmate tip every time you sit down.
when i wear it the travelmate tip kind of points away from my stomach, held in place by my belt. but i agree, it was tricky at first.
i dont really know how to explain it,,but obviously the packer is really soft so you can position the thing in a way where youre risking that the tip of the packer might move up towards your crotch -that way insuring that the tip of the travelmate will point away from your body...
i also wear very tight boxer briefs which hold the thing in place.

I use "The World's Simplest Packing Harness" - google that and you should find a .pdf with the instructions. It costs pence to make (seriously, under GB£1), take a few minutes to make, and works incredibly well for me.
A transman I know uses a sock, cuts a hole for the penis to to through, leaves the balls in the sock, and safety pins that to his boxers. Works for him.
I know I can El Goog this, but no recent (Read: In the past ten years) personal anecdotes come up..
Who here has modified a soft jock strap for use with any random packy? I've been avoiding packing since 2000, or 2001 because I want everything to be freakin' snug. Was thinking (only thinking, no planning) of combining a jock, with my usual under-attire consisting of briefs and a pair of boxers over that.
I know, sometimes I wear both.
It's comfy and I don't feel so bare.
I've had good luck packing with snug briefs, fwiw.
Eagerly awaiting ditching the packer so I can wear looser boxer briefs!!

Has anyone tried the packers from tyron2.net?
I was looking at Hudson's Guide: Packing and came across the link for this site and checked things it out there. It seems pretty good, though the thought of attaching at both the pelvis and tailbone isn't appealing.
They look decent enough and sound like they're great, but I'm not sure. They are an interesting kind of dual prosthetic though.
I looked at them when I was considering which prosthetic to get and maybe if my likereal that I ordered doesn't work out I would consider them again but the idea of pumping up my balls to get an erection strikes me as humorous... i don't really know why. Also the price is much more than the likereal, I got the smaller of the 2 duals (4.75 inches instead of 6.5) for a bit more than $300 with adhesive and shipping. Granted I may hate it and may look like I have an erection 24 hours a day but it was worth a shot as I didn't have to save up for it, I cashed in some savings bonds and I was good.
I ordered it a week ago and am very anxious for it to get here and take it for a test run(lol) but anyway back to the OP, I might consider them but there seems to be too many small parts involved, and my experience is that the more tiny parts there are, the greater the chance that one is going to break or not work properly.
A guy on live journal got one and says its larger and heavier than it looks, and took some practice getting it glued on securely and correctly, but works. A bit big to pack with, so not sure if he wears it all the time or just when he knows he and his gf are gonna have some action.
Jay
I too find the Tyron 2 interesting but I'm not sure about attaching it to my tailbone. It's not the thought of gluing it to my tailbone as much as that elastic going up my butt crack. That doesn't sound too comfortable. Plus- imagine what would happen if you use the toilet and forget to unsnap the elastic? :eusa_sick:

He addressed that in a recent post... said it was hugely helpful so the cock and balls don't fall forward when you bend over, and makes it more secure. Said you really didn't notice it. FWIW.

Bleh... was thinking of making the one with hair gel and condoms just to get used to it. Bought the hair gel and some value knee-socks, but couldn't find dry condoms anywhere! Not to mention, the price of any decent sized packs (since you go through a fair few to make the packer) are over £8, so I'd be better off getting a proper packer instead.
Is this the same as the American Mr Limpy, or is it something different?
ETA: Link removed now I'm clearer on rules. Since question's now been answered, you can probably get enough idea what I found.
Yeah, thats is the same as the mr. limpy
I'm thinking of getting a Mr. Right soon so I can convert my Mr. Limpy into an stp.
Does anyone have a Mr. Right, and are you happy with it?
Is the material life-like?
Is it too hard for comfortable everyday packing?

I've never had a proper packer. Only packers I've ever and currently use are condom/hairgel ones. What I do is just get some (free!) condoms from the gay bar, they all have them. I don't know what you're meaning by "dry" condoms...ones that aren't lubricated? It doesn't matter really what kind you use. The ones I get are lubricated and it works just as well, cause afterall the lube is only on the inside where the gel is going anyway. Anyhow, I squirt hair gel inside one condom...tie it in a knot...pop two bouncy balls in the remaining space, tie that up, throw that into another condom, tie it up again, and if you want to be super sure it doesn't bust open in your pants (I've only had this happen once, these packers hold up pretty well) you can triple condom the thing. Pop that baby in a sock. I fold the balls under so they're pressing against my skin when I put it down there and wear a tight pair of underwear to keep it in place. Having the balls against my body sort of keeps the packer from bouncing around and going side to side alot. I've tried packers like this without balls and it was bad, it moved around too much.
Yeah, I meant non-lubricated. Lubed on the inside I could deal with, except the only ones I've seen in shops are lubed on the outside. I did manage to get hold of some cheaper ones - pack of 12 for £8 - which were dry. Just as well, since the packer I saw is currently out of stock >_< No idea when it'll be back in, so for now I'm gonna use a Shewee with the home-made one - I've quickly learned why it's easier to stand; no fiddling with belts and losing the packer (socks for now) halfway down the briefs I use to hold it in place :-\
I've been using a packy from Mango (I ordered it before things got really bad over there) and got a backup from Toys in Babeland. They seem to be identical--made of that gel material, and very, very PINK. I like extra small; I have a small but don't like it.
But I just ordered a Good Vibes; we'll see how that goes.
I use TranzWear and really like it. They're a bit pricey, but I often see odds and ends in the clearance section. Also, you get a discount if you order a three-pack.
I never thought I would be able to pack because I'm allergic to practically everything under the sun that people use for harnesses. So I was glad to spend the money on TranzWear. The boxer briefs have covered elastic, so my skin isn't irritated.
I'm thinking that one TW model would be appropriate for an STP device, but I haven't gotten around to getting an STP yet. I like the devices I saw on an Oz site that somebody already mentioned--Home Grown. Does anyone have experience with their STPs?

I have a Home Grown STP. I completely failed at the STP. I don't think it was the STP, just I couldn't get the hang of it so I just took the STP out.
The material of the packy used is better than the Mr.
Pinky Limpy. It's less sticky (though still needs powering), I like the texture and material better and you can choose from many, more realistic colours. At best of all... no super pink!
does anyone have a problem with walking and packers? haha.
I use elastic as a harness, which works surprisingly well. Can't really feel it or anything. But really no matter what I use, it always seems to move up. which then looks weird. am I the only one?
I just made my own packer for the first time with hairgel and condoms. I really like it! I used 3 condoms to prevent leakage or if it happens to break. Unfortunately the only latex-free condoms I saw were very expensive so I went with latex (i'm allergic. If it touches my skin I break out). That being said I am able to insert it in my underwear (just bought boy's underware so there is that layered opening I can put it) and I also sewed a patch in my boxers to just slip it in! It works very well and I'm happy with it. Tomorrow I'm sewing a patch to another pair of boxers so I have 2!
Have fun sewing. I have a 5 inch one my drag dad gave me...I think its from Good Vibes. I'm satisfied with it. It was interesting to get used to a bigger bulge after using condoms and hair gel for awhile but its been a couple months and I'm used to it. Without it, I feel lost. I just use a cock sock to keep it in place.

Haha I'm horrible at sewing. As long as it holds it in the seems don't matter since it's on boxers lol and no one else is going to see it. It just needs to be able to do its job :)
I'm thinking of going with the Good Vibes model. I'm not going to be packing until after top surgery, however.
Back in the day before my tits ruined my life, I constantly went around with socks stuffed down the front of my pants. Using a facsimile penis seems so high tech and daunting.
I have used several different things and finally settled on what works for me. I wanted a pack and play so I have a Sam from Lola Jake. I like it definitely on the smaller side for play stuff but the larger one I bought made me look like I was hung like a horse. The key is to find out what is most important to you (packing only, pack and play, stp) or a combination, then buy that. I have definitely made a major investment at this point with a Lucas Plus and a Sam both from Lola Jake and several other things but finally have the product i like.
