I usually stay in the girls' forums unless there's a catchy title or something on the other side
EDIT: Forgive me for not using the acronyms MTF & FTM but I detest them.
I usually just go through the "unread posts since last visit", and often don't pay attention to which forum the post was originally in. That being said, however, I have the guy's forum bookmarked, so I often go through those first.
I read on the girls side sometimes.. it teaches me stuff :)
Yep, both.
This place would seem a rather strange point to enforce 'bathroom' rules.
I do have quite a bit of experience of having to pass as a male. I have a male body, but among many men, that isn't really enough.
Besides, only by understanding others can I hope to really come to terms with myself.
Yes and... well... don't anyone go making too much of this :embarrassed: but sometimes I feel like I almost have more in common with the boys than the girls!
:icon_yikes: Maybe I'm an imposter LOL ;) Welcome to the dark side. :D
I am like Jamie, I look to see if a title is interesting. But sometimes I get into a thread that is like catching your brother with Hustler. :icon_yikes:
I leave very quickly.
But it is interesting that the guys seem to have just as much diyphoria over their twins as us girls.
And I agree Valentina, I am not fond of MtF or FtM. We know which way we roll, the guys are just guys as us girls are just girls.

Yeah, that's usually what makes my eyes wander to the guys' board. The only bookmark I have is for the home page; titles can easily draw my attention as I'm navigating along.
I do admit to hesitating when going to read the girl's sections. I feel kinda like a guy sneaking into the women's locker room. lol
I'm with Jamie-O on this one, my tab goes straight to "unread since last visit" and if I like the topic, or the responses, then I reply. Best part of being an Andro is you get to shape shift, or as I've heard many times from other people (though not directed at me personally) I'm more of a man then you'll ever be and more of a woman then you'll ever have.
When I'm feeling all business I'll go to my personal last unread and then the andro then log off. When I am feeling more relaxed I browse, I grow more squeamish about body changing stuff as time goes on, but it's always nice to know how people feel about things and read people's anecdotes.
Only if I see anything that's interesting.
If I see something which interests me I'll pop into the girls forum. More often than not though it's a little too much girliness for me though. :P
I read everything. I usually do what Jamie-O does and go to unread posts. If something catches my eye then that's where I go. Having lived as a 'manly' man for so long (50+ tears) I feel I have pertinent information to add occasionally.
Randi 8)
What Jamie-O said. I have unread posts set on speed dial and don't pay attention to the forum. Plus as forum admin, I kinda have to keep an eye over the whole landscape.

I feel the same, only in the opposite direction. I find myself hanging out in the girl's side a lot. The guy posts seem to focus more on the practical, while the girls' are almost spiritual. I'm really drawn to the intensity. Still love you guys though.

Ditto, but in reverse.
I like to read the guys' forums if something there catches my attention, but I try to respect the "boys club" and only reply if I have something relevant to add to the conversation.

I just go through unread since last visit. I do find some of the male threads to be quite interesting.... and besides. I cant resist all the hawtt avatar faces and the do I pass threads... *sigh* ;)
I browse by the "Show unread posts since last visit." and sometimes end up in ftm threads. I've noticed a huge difference between the ftm threads and the mtf threads. Which I guess makes sense. I've noticed the ftm are more focused on the emotional side of transitioning issues with other people, family etc and the mtf is more on the practical/analytical side.. shopping and physicality generally speaking and this is just from what I've noticed, I'm sure most would disagree *shrugs*.
yep a quick browse thru all the forums. as a mod I'm supposed 2 read everythin. gotta make sure nobody's makin any trouble >:-) >:-) :police: :police: :police:
No, I see the womens side of things as a women-space, like a sanctuary to get away from the men. I'd feel rude intruding on that.

Yeah, I do the same thing.
I mostly look at the girl and entertainment topics
But I get curious what the guys are up to and sometimes try to show support and help if I can
But that can backfire from time to time :icon_flamed:
I'm a bit of a nosey bitch so I look at lots of things. Make bad posts, hijack threads, generally yep an NB.
But feel free to spank me if I'm naughty.
Cindy
I find the guys forums more interesting O_o
I mostly just read the girl's forums, but sometimes I'II just have a peep into the guy's forums if I see a thread with an interesting headline, I'II read, just resently I actually replyed, I mean it was like omg, never posted in there before then twice in the 1 thread, hope I didn't offend, https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,70595.0.html (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,70595.0.html) well a question was asked, so I was just as honest as I could be.

Another unread since last visit user.
I don't have a problem saying stuff in either side, as long as no one else does.
"Show unread posts since last visit." is how I navigate... and that means I often look over into the girls' room. But then, I'm a mod *flashes his badge*, I'm allowed!
If I'm bored, or a title catches my eye.
Feels like intruding to me.
I just watch the recent posts list at the bottom of the main forum page...
As the quasi famous 'missing verse' from This Land Is Your Land goes:
As I went walking, I saw a sign there,
And on the sign there, It said "no trespassing."
But on the other side, it didn't say nothing!
That side was made for you and me.

Will do! You can count on me!
I rarely go into the MTF forums unless I feel I can help answer a question or whatnot.

You are awesome. I love that verse. >:-)
No. There's nothing there for me. Nothing personal peeps. Just the way it is!
I poke my head in every once in a while, but most of the time there's nothing of interest for me. I'd probably respond to something if I thought I could help.
Guess I'm with Virginia, I usually peruse the girly stuff and the entertainment stuff :)
Like what was said before, I look at the girls' forum but I keep from posting because I respect their "space". I only post once in a great while in there
In a minute though I'm going to be making a topic in the girls forum. Hopefully I won't be intruding but I think it belongs in there
Oh yeah, that's another one. I feel awkward intruding in their space.
And usually there's not much of interest either. Well, sometimes I read because they bring some food for thought. But usually no reason to post.
Girls, do you read the guys' forums?
nay. i don't read the crossdresser & androgyne forums either.
yer missing out. :)

Same here, only been in the girls section a couple of times.
I do the recent unread topics link only because it's a habit I've formed over the past decade of forum browsing.
I probably, without that habit, would stick to 'my' own forum and pop over to the others once every few weeks to catch up on news or things I might learn.. being a scientist and all, I am naturally curious. :)
I are reading all yer secrets.
Actually, I've been thinking about this a bit. We're here because we're all "crossing borders" in our own way. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not here just because I hate how I am, but because we all at one point and time have felt this way. To me, I consider this site "Neutral Ground" for learning about everything I can, from both sides of the game. Not only can I read about experiences from (sorry... ) a male to female transition I'm learning things I hadn't thought about from the female to male side of this and I can relate to what the guys are going through.
We've all talked about what we've hated about growing up male, or growing up female. We've all talked about what we've wished growing up could have been like. And I love every minute of what I read.
If someone told me, that I had to set a gender marker on my user account, and was told I could not go into the boys room I think I would have to stop coming here. This site has been such an asset to me, from both the males and the females PoV.
I read both, but mostly I stay on the girls' side. Some of the boys' stuff makes me feel like I'm intruding on their space.
But I am often struck by how similar our experiences are, regradless of which direction we are going. (And yes, there are more than two directions.)

unread posts thing, have to actively look if I want to know what page I'm on.

Awwwwe, don't be shy O
Us girls like a lil' attention from the guys now and then :icon_chick: Especially if it involves dancing :eusa_dance: :icon_geekdance: :icon_dance:
Lately I just go through all the unreplied topics since the last visit but initially I just stuck to the guys forum. I go to the ladies forum too more often now. They have interesting topics with a lot of structual (and in some cases heated) debates.
I read threads in most of the forums, but like VM i've learned to be careful of where i post :icon_flamed:

Yeah I noticed there is alot more heated discussions/drama in the mtf section then in the ftm section. I go to the ftm section alot more now, it's so peaceful and there are some handsome fellows over there too! :D

My other secret reason for going to the mtf section was because there are some beautiful ladies over there too. ;)
I tend to read threads with titles which grab my attention regardless of which forum they're in. I enjoy all the different perspectives. That being said, I find the way you guys think somewhat enlightening, and I get a lot of insight into the male mind from reading threads in that forum. It's an interesting experience, and always worth seeing approaches to similar issues from the other side, as it were.

Likewise with the Mtf section. I always find it nice to get a woman's touch on issues.
I look at unread since last visit, mostly. I read the news sections because when I'm posting there I often get distracted by everything else that's been posted. I often search the site for a topic and end up in the girls' section.
I do feel a little weird about clicking intentionally into mtf forums, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I love the feedback we all have for each other.
I scan most things. I like lots of stuff so if it is interesting I read and reply. That's the fun of the site for me.
Hardly ever read the guys forum since I got flamed over there.
Simply lost interest to be quite honest. Horses for courses, eh :-)
Axélle
Yes, I read the FTM forums. Only forum I rarely, rarely go into is the "significant others".
I post on both because I'm a rebellious teenager.
Oh, me.
Plus I think I like FTMs better.
I read almost everything, and I'll post anywhere if I have something to say. And I can't resist a barbershop or urinal thread! Hugs, Devlyn
I usually stick to the guys boards. Only been to the women's a few times. Like others have said, I feel like I'm intruding. I do like the "you look fabulous darling" thread, lots of beauts :-*
Other than that, I don't really feel like I have much insight to offer the ladies *sigh*
If the topic title looks interesting I will have a look. I may comment if I think 50+ years of being shoved into the box marked "blokes" means I may have something worthwhile to contribute.
Once in a while I guess.
I go on every forum and read any thread that interests me.

Me to...otherwise I stay out of there ;)
I can't help myself....FTM's make such cute men.
