So yesterday I got a letter saying I was on the six month waiting list for Nottingham Gender Clinic ;D ;D ;D however i was just wondering if any of you guys are with NGC? If so how long did it take for you to get your first appointment and how many appontments did it take before you were prescribed T?
Cheers guys :)
sorry can't help yet as still waiting to see Dr Ferguson at his Grantham surgery before getting referred to th NGC myself. Didn't want you to think no one was talking to you tho!!!!
haha thanks :)
im quite surprised, my gp said he was going to refer me to a consultant psychiatrist who he said would then refer me to the NGC so i was expecting a letter saying i had an appointment with the psych but it's directly from NGC with a form i need to fill out so i can go on their database, good thing they accept gp referral i guess lol
Nice one. I was supposed to be getting referred to a psychiatrist but when i phoned them for an appointment got told I'd been referred on to someone with more knowledge. Been chasing Ferguson ever since and was given the option in December of going on to the NGC waiting list instead but that was a six month waiting list and I'm hopefully seeing Ferguson in March
yeah, im so glad the waiting list has gone down to 6 months, ive worked my approximate timetable of transition around the previous 18 month so im so glad i can swipe 6 months off of that timetable.
I'm quite glad i was referred right to the gender clinic because now i dont have to faf about with a few months at the psych then wait for referral, then get first appointment etc. I'm just on the NGC waiting list now, this 6 month period is gunna go so slow haha
yep. Think I'm driving everyone mad searching the post every day for my appointment letter. Oh well, it'll get here soon. God I sound so rational at the minute-I'll have to try that in real life
haha i find that pretending you're not expecting anything helps, doesnt get your hopes upa nd then when it does come you'll feel fantastic
