My name is Laura. I'm a 32 year old transgendered lady (M2F) from Brampton, Ontario Canada. I joined this site a while back, but I'm just finally getting around to posting lol. I started down this path only a few short months ago, but I have lived for 22 years of my life in repression and denial. Since the start of my journey, I have been under-going electrolysis and making my plans for advancement during the next couple of years. I have my first official gender counselling appointment at the end of March, but I have managed to convince my family doctor to start me on estrogen. I started yesterday :). Unfortunately, there are no support groups for girls like me where I live. There are some in the cities nearby but travel is almost impossible for me. It's all good though, I have alot of support from my friends and family and my friend Jenny keeps telling me that I'm doing quite remarkable considering the short period of time I have been at this and the lack of a support group.
Hi Laura! I can really relate to having to travel a long ways to get to any support groups, but it sounds like you've got some really good people in your life to help you. :) Congratulations on starting your estrogen!

Glad you finally decided to come out of lurk mode and actually start posting here. I hope you'll have fun and find some new friends.
As you've already said it let me reiterate - you are indeed doing very well considering you've done it pretty well all on your own (with just a teeny bit of help from your online sister of course...)
