So, my first name means "beloved" and my middle name means "protector." I'm trying to find unisex or androgynous names with the same meanings, but I'm having trouble. Google has given me some hits, but they've mostly been the same lists formatted differently.
Most name sites I've found so far give the definition after you've found the name.
Has anyone out there found any sites, or other references, where the definition of the name is what one can search on, rather than on searching for the name's definition?
Clear as mud, right?
One of my favorite sites to search for names on is http://www.babynames.com/ (http://www.babynames.com/) If you go into advance search you can search by meaning.
Another good website which can also be organized by the country the name originated is http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/ (http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/) It actually has a meaning search in the left hand tab.
Cool. Thanks, Osiris.
Added another link in the post above.
That is so weird. My old male name and my first name mean the same thing. But Janet is a female derivative of my old male name. With I did not know when I choice it.
