Got any tips?
Try trolling... it works for Drakomis...
He trolls ppl, and they turn around and friend and subscribe!
Or you could be confrontational, or silly, or... epic...

I'm somewhat popular
Make your videos on time.. once a week or every 3-4 days, people like schedules.. talk about good information, be nice, comment back to people, encourage comments
Humour is your best friend when making friends!! ^_^
That youtube video was wow... TIMTTMY is and always will be my fav album of all time...very moving.
See doing these videos is good for me cause I'm not good at speaking. And I don't mean public speaking, I mean all speaking. I stutter and get stuck. I do this thing where I'll be talking and all of a sudden I just completely forget the next word.
So I look unorganized and unprepared even though I spend an least half an hour if not more planning out each video. I make a basic outline, so I don't read, but also so I don't ramble in my thoughts. I originally had that problem, but I'm trying to keep my videos shorter and to the point now. It is still hard not to ramble, because my speech problem makes me nervous.
But I feel like my videos are bad. Not the content, but like my recording of the information is bad. Bahhhh I don't know. This is a difficult area for me, and I don't know why I can't just relax. I'm charismatic in person, and my co-workers looooooove me. I'm the funny guy who always has the witty remark to add that makes everyone laugh. But for some reason it isn't transferring to video the way I had hoped.
I just looked and have only been doing videos for 4 months total. Out of the 9 uploads I have, I think 6 have been in the last 2 weeks. So I guess it hasn't been that long. It felt like longer...\
Maybe I'm just self conscious and there isn't anything wrong. Idk
Nick
This goes for many things. Socialize with everyone you find interesting and take time to talk to the people who respond back to you. Also make sure your content is frequent and quality work.
It's pretty simple.
1. Make stupid, pointless videos in which you act like you're seven years old.
2. Speed up your voice so you sound like a chipmunk.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Hey, it worked for Fred didn't it?
Be kewl like me.
I started just by documenting my journey like I do my blog in here. My roomie Laci joined in every now and then. Over two years I think people usually watch us to see what we are talking about together (it's usually crazy stuff) or to watch my individual videos about trans stuff. I find that people, especially in pretty remote areas around the world, like feeling connected to others, feeling like they aren't alone. It can be a big responsibility having subscribers depending on how you look at it. I personally respond to all questions and thank every subscriber. It takes me roughly 10-12 hours a week to keep up with it. I make videos just whenever I feel like, but usually maybe every second or third week or so :)
