Jan. 29--Guys dressing in drag has always been funny.

Milton Berle was one of the first men beamed into America's homes in ladies' clothing for a laugh. Future movie star Tom Hanks began his career in drag on the sitcom "Bosom Buddies." British comedian and proud ->-bleeped-<- Eddie Izzard gets all dolled up whenever he performs -- and that's not even part of his shtick.

Then there's Tyler Perry.

The last Madea movie I saw utilized a specific idea and scapegoated a female character, all played against this oh-so-groundbreaking comedy and hilarious situations. Stark contrast, and failed.
In other words, it really sucked. I have no other word for it. It actually disgusted me.
Everything funny in the commercial advertisements for it, was everything funny you saw watching it in the theater. You didn't miss anything if all you saw was one commercial.
Not good.
