i read a lot of threads, but i'm still confused. what does androgyn really means? if you are androgyn you are neither man nor woman? are you both? and what does both mean? 50% 50%. i read so many comments regarding to this, that i'm now more confused than before.
QuoteAndrogynous: Being neither distinguishably masculine nor feminine, as in dress, appearance, or behavior.
If you see a person and you can not determine which gender they are, then they androgynous.
Androgynous - Male and female.
The internet is a wealth of information and sources. :)

http://genderfork.com/ (http://genderfork.com/) (Genderfork.com explores androgyny and gender variance through artistic photography and other neat stuff.) [quote.]
okay, if i see a person and i can't say if the person is male or female then this deals with their appearance. but how do you feel, if you are androgyn?
genderfork quote: I'm neither, yet not both.
does this mean there is nothing?
i would say it's both. you are not female and you are not mal, but you are in between.
It means that a person dosen't feel like they belong to the binary genders. This can take many forms, from someone feeling like both genders, feeling like neither gender, switching between genders, or feeling like a gender depending on.... whatever. Some people go for body modifications, some go for none.
Its a gray area. But we are really funny here :D

I'm not a fan of the defination on this site

Hi..
Being different is how i see myself ,
Being a androgyn is as close a word i would use in the sence of mind./ body. the other is ,
a transfemale androgyn,
For me more my mind & how i m wired
a mix of both female & male , 60 % female 60% male . that what i thought some time ago . & i think both ways at the same time .
I know some say a third gender , ill leave that one for now .
Now as to how we dress much has been said on that for me i dress as a woman & have done for allmost 12 years . in the first part it was both dress codes . now its only as a woman ,
I lived in the male mode for 50 years & was not really me , it in many respects not intirely the clothes it was how i was as a person . the role was to restritive,
Because i was a andro & saw that at age 10 on . of cause i did not understand that then, that came later so for me my body was coming along for the ride . my emotions & my psychlogical part of me was coming out i just did not put every thing in a context that i could understand ,
That was only going to happen when i was 50 . & every thing came to gether . & then i knew it was right . & from then on things started to make sence things worked ,
so i m really that mix not one or the other or nether. i m both i can handle that & accept that,
One other detail was i hated male clothes just so not right my mum had to buy me clothes up to the age of 24 , Then Jos my s o took over for 25 years . they both said to me you need to buy some more clothes & all i said was i may, till they fall off my back i wont, even i would pick out womens clothes for Jos , only in womens shops . mens no way ,
Now i know we are all so different & why not ,
Any way thats a bit more of how we see our selfs .
...noeleena...
