Okay so some how my grandma found out about Adrianna. First off who the hell told? Anyway...so she's basicly my mother and she means the world to me. She's old. So this is how the conversation goes in the laundry room of her new apartment building. (we are alone in it mind you) this is how the conversation started.
Nanny: "so why did you move away in the first place?
Me: "Nanny there are reasons that i needed to move away from here for a while
Nanny: "because nick likes to dress in girls cloths?
My jaw hits the floor and i stare at her like a total retard in shock "how did you know?!" (remember i thought this was a secret i'd been keeping for like 3 years)
Nanny: "oh melissa told me said she saw it online"
Me: "WTF? melissa? online? WHAT? we dont post anything like that on any site she's on (facebook)
nanny: "well she saw it and SHE told me so there, you know whats wrong with him? you've been hanging around to many gay people!
Me: "Nanny gay people have NOTHING to do with this
Nanny: "oh yes it does you know when i first knew when you brought nick downstairs in that dress on halloween 4 years ago..he looked to happy.
Me:. "I didnt even know he was trans back then!!!
Nanny: "ya well stephen was with you (stephens my best friend and he's gay)
Me: " SO WHAT?!
Nanny: "SHHHHH people will hear you
me: "oh ya and someone just walking by will understand what the heck we are talking about
Nanny: "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Me: whispering now " Well what do you think?"
Nanny: "its just a faze"
Me: slaping my head loudly "its not a faze nan its how he was born"
Nanny: "he was born a boy not a girl he needs to be a man.
ME: "its not like that nanny...
Nanny: "of course it is, this is all his mothers fault raising him the way she did
Me :just sitting in silence
Nanny: "Your dad doesnt know does he?"
Me: "NO nanny dad doesnt know"
Nanny: "dont tell him..or papa. They wouldnt understand
me :"you dont understand"
Nanny: "I understand he's gay"
Me: "HE"S NOT GAY
Nanny: "SHHHHHHHHHHH
Me: "Nanny he's not gay.
Nanny :"If he wants to be a woman that means he's gay.
I'm nearly losing my mind but laughing too "He's a lesbian"
Nanny: "no he's not he's a guy.
Me: UGH!!
Nanny "Listen i love him and i'm not going to treat him like anything. I"m just going to pretend i dont know.
Me "okay" *sigh long pause*
Nanny :"how do you have sex?"
I'm going red "NANNY! like normal people
Nanny: "well if he's a woman he can't have sex with you so what are you going to do then?
Me: "we can do things make love...
Nanny "no you cant he wont have a penis.
Me: "I'm going upstairs now BYE
Yea...trying to talk to my nanny about something is like talking to a wall....a very old wall...a very old and stuborn wall. I hope you got a chuckel out of that. She drives me up the wall but i love her.
I'm sure that was hard but it was a GREAT story!!!

Wow. That is... quite possibly the oddest conversation I've ever read of. Oh, old people, how outdatedly stubborn they can be. I can imagine that would have been quite frustrating though. :eusa_wall:
Remember that Nanny is old school. She really does not understand. The thing to remember is that it does not matter how others see her. It only counts with you two.

Ok I seriously didn't just post to say that of course. That is funny, I hadn't heard the entire story, and now I can read it and laugh. I'm still surprised she found out! Of course, to tell you the truth I didn't even fully understand I was trans that time on halloween she was talking about. You two litterally forced me into the dress. Wonder where it is now? It fit quite nicely. I like it alot.

I wish it wasn't but then again I wouldnt have my grandmother any other way. its funny debating with her and hearing some of the things she says. *shakes head* At least she knows and I dont have to feel so alone. Even though she doesnt talk about it.

Trust me there are many more convos like that (not about that topic) but of thers. Some about gay friends and such. Some about random stuff. She belives most everything she hears on the news.
Such is life, she's still the best grandma in the world. She gave up a lot for me so i'll take her querks LOL

In Nanny's case it's more like "puts down her vaccuum" I'm not sure that poor lady ever sits still. Always cleaning, or making food it seems. Her decision to, no one is making her.
As disturbing a mental image it is, it would be rather funny.
Her sister (when we were moving) once walked into our bedroom (she was helping us move) holding a line of condoms and honestly asked "What are these? and where do I put them?" it was embarassing, but she honestly had no clue!
