I was at JCPenney with my grandma and my brother, bargain hunting, 80% off racks FTW!! LOL
We were looking at the boys' section for my brother, and we found some hoodies and a T-shirt that he liked, so we picked those up, and then he's like "Grandma, can I get skinny jeans?" I tried to convince him that he wouldn't like skinny jeans, 'cause he was cursed with the short gene, and he's always liked the regular fit jeans and wouldn't wear anything else. My grandma looks at me, and goes "At least Amy dresses normal! At least someone likes pants you can breathe in!" Ha! My pants are boy's jeans, the same ones my mom cringes at when I wear! But he did end up with skinny jeans and he's proudly wearing them around the house at the moment, LOL.
And THEN my grandma asked me if I wanted to look to see if there was anything on sale in "my department" and I had politely declined, first off because I have a ton of clothes, and second I had no desire to go look at the juniors department (which I'm convinced is meant to fit anorexic 8 year olds, those clothes are TINY!). But, since she's never one to pass up a bargain, she says "Well what about the young men's department? Have you ever thought to check that out? You might find something you like there."
Yeah, my grandma rocks!! She doesn't even know all this stuff, and she's encouraging her 'granddaughter' to wear young men's clothes! YEAH!!!
Something tells me she'll be one of the most supportive!!

(eww my cheeks are the size of a small country in this picture! Luckily I've lost a bit of weight since then! heh)
Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like anyone who wears junior's clothes is anorexic, It's more of just a personal thing, I personally don't like the way that juniors' styles are made to fit so tight, that I would have to be twig thin in order to feel comfortable in even the large sizes.

Awesome :)
My grandma is great too, she's really supportive and doesn't treat me any differently.
I'd love that hat! :D cute ^^

Ah, we all had to wear the hat at some point or another. Mine was royal blue with a gold tassel.
I 100% agree on the junior clothes though - i could never find anything that FIT right. The styles are just too tight for my body shape (roundish lol). Even some of the "womens" clothes are horrid.... hence why i much prefer mens (that's the reason i used for YEARS - now when my mom asks "why mens" i can honestly say "well DUH, why would i wear womens?".)
My aunt used to wear guys' clothes all the time (we have the same body type - some swear when she was my age she could have passed as my sister, which is odd because i'm adopted and not related to ANYONE in my "family" by blood.) She's likely to be the most supportive of me when my parents decide to pull their heads out of the sand and actually accept that i'm trans.
That's awesome colormyworld! :D
My g'ma was amazing when I transitioned...but she died when I was 17. She loved me unconditionally, struggled to grasp the concept of me, but loved me nonetheless. Here's to grams. *clink*
aWWWWWW thats so damn sweet!!! ;D
Your grandma rawks!!! >:-)

Awww, the picture of you two makes me all fuzzy inside :3
