So today I had a few things to do. I worked out, went to walmart (where i picked up some nail polish remover along with some other stuff), went to the grocery, and came home. Unloaded about a dozen grocery bags, put the flowers I bought into a vase, and did some other things.
While i did put the remover away, i totally forgot about throwing the walmart receipt away, and worse, left it on the kitchen counter. Whoops :P
So my wife comes home from work, and soon i hear her yelling "what is remover" ???
I didn't know immediately what she was talking about, but I had the sinking feeling that it wasn't good. I came around the corner and found my wife (who routinely throws away receipts that i need) closely examining THAT receipt. It said "remover" right there on the receipt.
gulp.
I played it off as some automotive chemical, but I got "the look" :o
Sooner or later she's gonna bust me with the makeup and clothes, but i'm OK with it when it happens I suppose :-* :D
This sort of reminds me of how I once had to explain to my mom (who carefully inspects everything I ever buy) what was "that weird looking tank top with an elastic band across the chest" which I had just received in the mail without giving myself away. I told her I bought it because I think band t-shirts look bad with breasts showing under them. She didn't buy it and gave me "that look" but fortunately didn't ask any more questions.
Thankfully, I don't have that problem with nail varnish remover because I just borrow hers :icon_drdodgy:
Hehe be glad you bought remover and not something else I'd think. ;)
If it contains acetone you could have always made up a story though... Apparently it's also useful with removing clue.
I suppose 'the look' isn't necessarily bad. If she starts speculating on her own then it won't come down as hard when she 'finds out'.

If I had left the grocery store receipt out instead of the walmart receipt it would have been even more interesting. I bought nail polish there :D
My wife has been relatively "ok" with this androgyne thing, but when she discovers I have taken it to a whole new level..... :-*
