Title: Facial products that make your face feminized
Post by: JillEclipse on February 23, 2010, 01:35:28 PM
Hi. I was wondering if we could compile a list of facial products and brands that have proven themselves to be both effective at anti-aging, AND at making one's face more feminine?

Like lotions, skin care products, masques etc.

I've tried a few masques and they didn't really do anything. I also tried a skin care product that made my face look more manly I think. So if we could write a list of good products it would be quite helpful.

moisturizing is very important for any girl to keep skin soft and pliant. There are several good products out there but it's a matter of personal preference and finding what works best for your skin type. Unless you're talking about the really expensive creams or have a lot of skin/sun damage, you can get something that works well enough for around $20-$30. I've heard Olay products are good but I don't use them personally. I prefer Neutrogena for everyday cleansers and moisturizers.

Great advances have been made in recent years in anti-aging, anti-wrinkle creams and they have gotten more accessible, especially if you want to spend a lot of money. The best trick imo is to be consistent and use them regularly over a period of time if you want to see actual results.

but as Flan said, nothing is really going to feminize your face other than perhaps a steady dose of estrogen ;)

Well just about everything has been said there, I don't know if the rules here allow to advertise products, but I use a lot of E Arden products, Ceramide anti ageing cream, Ceramide moisture night cream, after I remove my makeup I cleansed my face then apply the cream, Iv also had botox injections, I use a sponge on foundation finishing up with E Arden smooth press powder when Im putting on my face next morning, staying pretty and looking good is very important to me as a woman, my face is soft and silky but came with a lot of work including FFS, after years and years on estrogen its made me look and feel like a woman.

As good as it is to protect your skin from the outside, it's also good to consider protecting it from the inside from what you eat! Also drinking plenty of water.
Personally I want to know what Jens secret is!!!!! *taps fingers*.

I use Oxy products, though they're intended more for the teen to mid 20s demographic which I fit snugly into.

The question of effectiveness of face creams was the subject of a science documentary on TV here a while ago.

The conclusion was that the 'Boots' pharmacy chain in the UK make the only one that actually does what it claims, I'm still waiting for it to be sold in Oz. I don't know what they named it, but it was the one that was changing hands for vast amounts when it first came out.You still have to use it daily for several months before it shows though.

The rest were all variants on basic moisturisers which stop the skin from drying out. Other than that they suggested religiously using 30+ sunscreen.

The product you're thinking of is Boots' 'Protect & Perfect' serum ... and the results of the TV documentary's tests were confirmed by subsequent scientific analysis ..

It really does feel great and work wonders, too. Whenever I go to the States I have to buy huge amounts to hand out to all my girlfriends!  :)

diet, good wash, nice amount of sun and fresh air and you'll get the nicest skin this side of the acid skin peels, the sandblasting etc..

All I really do is rinse my face off with hot then cold water.  I do use Covergirl Clean foundation which is water based so it doesn't need a cleansing agent for the water to dissolve it.  And every once in a while I will shave my face simply to exfoliate (i love that freshly shaved feeling).  But other than that I don't use anything like moisturizer.
