:)I am fairly old,but do not look my age, I have long brown hair eight inches or so below my shoulders,I do take a lot of care of it,it seems to make me feel a lot more feminine.I have always known that I am transexual, and over a number of years have tried different ways to change my body shape,I would start a herbal program, and to give it time to work, would stick to it diligently ie 18mths at least,at the end of that time it would finally sink into my dumb brain, nothing was happening, three times I tried different regimes, all of them ended up the same, most of the changes were imagined, each time this happened I felt completetely devastated, the thought of the time I had wasted, and the fact I would have to stick with whatever program I decided on for another 2 yrs, and again nothing might happen.
many times I tried to change, covering a period of years, finally january this year, after a year on mirifica and breast gels etc etc,and still no change,I ordered hormones on the internet, I spent over a year checking on what hormones I should buy, where from and what effects they would have on me.
I must go now but will add more later, for the first time I can see my body changing and feel the changes.
some time has now passed since i started the hormones, and now the changes are measureable if i use a tape to measure my breasts, under my breasts measures 39 ins over them the measurement is 39.5 and across them 46 ins
Hi Nickee, Welcome to Susan's. There is a lot of info here to browse thru so enjoy. If you haven't considered it please look for a gender therapist to help sort out where you fit into the gender spectrum. Estrogen use will bring many changes to you not just physical but mentally-as you probably already know. Self medicating is frowned upon by those here because of the serious nature of hormones and the changes it takes us thru. This can be a difficult process if it is not done in a rational and controlled manner. Some will get good growth quickly and then for those like myself new growth comes very slowly and for some not at all. It is different for all of us so strap in and hang on-there is a lot of territory to cover.
Later,
Randi
Hi Nickiee, :icon_wave:

Randi is right. In the rules above you will find that we have No-no rules regarding self HRT. It is dangerous and you are coming into your own and we don't want to lose you.
Hugs and Love,
Janet
Welcome to Susan's, Nickiee. :icon_flower:
As Randi and Janet said, self-administering hormones can do you more harm than good. Please talk to a doctor and get the hormones through proper channels. You need someone to check your various levels and monitor them.
Check out the rules of the site through the links in Janet's posts. We try to keep a friendly place and are happy you are here. We'd like to get to know you better and support you in your journey to become your real self. And we'd like you to minimize the very real risks so that you can enjoy your new life.
Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore. :icon_wave:

DIY HRT is not smart, but I will not deny I went that route in the beggining.
