Title: Yahoo group: "FTMSurgeryInfo"
Post by: alex408 on March 04, 2010, 08:24:56 PM
Is anyone a member of the group?  My membership has been pending for almost 4 weeks.  I filled out all the required info/ questions and sent it to the correct address with the correct title.  Did it take you guys this long?   I was even denied previously.  IDK why though

I signed up for a membership about 2 years ago and was approved within a few days.  I wanted to log in a while back but, unfortunately, forgot my login information and the e-mail address I signed up with is no longer active, so I wasn't able to retrieve anything.  I signed up again about 2 months ago, but haven't heard anything back.  I guess the group owner isn't as attentive to it as he used to be.

yeah I signed up early last month, and I haven't heard anything back yet. Which sucks cause I hear it's a really good resource.

Hate to be the one to say when you guys can't get in, but it is a good resource!
I hope they sort the hold up out guys.

Something is going on with this group. The last "real" message was posted back in October. After that, only an occasional message with the group guidelines. I don't know what's up.

Yeah, what Arch said.  I think they are having Admin issues.  The thing is, every post has to be approved by one of the admins.  I believe there are only two of them ,and they said several months ago that they were swamped with things in real life, which is why the posts were a couple months behind schedule at that time.  Since then they've dried up to just the monthly reminder of the posting rules.  ::)  It's too bad, because they have an awesome repository of pictures.  Maybe we could get it going again if a couple members could get hold of the current Admins and offer to help out with those duties.

I signed up a few months ago, it took a few weeks. I have had no use in going there there and thought the claim of it beong great to be an over rated opinion. I left it alone after that since it was a dead end.

I'll agree that the forum itself wasn't much, even when it was active.  Too many freaking rules about what you could and couldn't post, to the point that it seemed it was against the rules to post anything useful.  However, it does have an extensive gallery of results pictures, which makes it a good resource for picking a surgeon, especially now that Transter is down, and TransBucket is still in its infancy.

I signed up for membership about 4 weeks ago and nothing. I also read that after 3-4 weeks they dump the membership requests because they get so many. So... there you have it. I'm just chalking it up to a lost cause. :-\

Further to this, yesterday I received a whole bunch of messages from the FTMSurgeryInfo group - about 20 or so, dating back to early January - so it might be worth those of you who have been trying to join giving it another go since it seems at least one of the mods is back.

Yeah, looks like it's back up.
