You may want to think of each conservative "Christian" organization as stand alone, stovepiped, and organic in origin, but they really aren't isolated at all.
If you want to point to one man's "achievement" for all the antigay and antitrans hate that spews from the religious right, look to Dr. Dobson -- He really was perhaps the responsible player for the origins of the anti-LGBT hate speech that the plethora of religious right organizations spew to the public about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
