Title: HRT in asia or HRT in US.... advantages to either?
Post by: elementalincognitus on March 06, 2010, 08:38:37 PM
hi, i started therapy here in the US, and im well on track to get an official letter to start here in the US.  in fact my therapist recommended several endocrinologists who work without letters if i didnt want to wait the normal time period.  im moving to asia soon, within the next few months.

my question is, should i start HRT here when im ready, or should i wait and start it in asia?  Im pretty sure that i wont need a letter in asia, so that wont be an issue, but im just wondering if i maybe wont be able to get the same drugs to keep on a particular regimine....  i know we dont have androcur here, and the more i learn about spiro, the more i think androcur might be safer and less side effects....

any info is appreciated!

Asia being vast with many different countries, there are many differing levels standards for health care and requirements. Don't think anyone can tell you exactly how to go about it unless you say which country you're referring to.

Hi, the setup is very different in many asian countries then in the west.  From what i know, Thailand would be the most liberal.  Feel free to contact me directly and i can give you a little more on my experiences. (I am in Hong Kong)

Cheers
