girls roomThere was a time when boys of easy virtue had to content themselves with sneaking a peek at the girls' swim team during practice. But social engineers may make this passé with a proposal to allow boys to use girls' bathrooms and locker rooms.

No, this isn't the plot of a decadent B movie.

The story comes out of Maine, with a state proposal that would grant boys claiming to be female the right to use the aforementioned girls' facilities. It may even give such boys the right to compete on girls' sports teams.

To be honest, a quick look through the rest of this rag suggests that the sort of people who are going to read it are probably going to think this way anyway.

Quoteyes, I know it's an outdated term, but I'm an outdated guy

This is the one piece of the article I agree with.

The comments afterward are priceless though.

It is sad that someone who could not possibly know what it is like to experience GID could come out and attempt to speak as such an expert.

A slick looking web site doesn't necessarily mean a lot of visitors either.

I regularly post of some news sites where there are some pretty red necked Americans who frequently post links to similar sites.

I've never seen this one linked to.

I think this is not a good way to stop boys on sneaking into girl rooms. We cannot stop boys from being naughty sometimes. Maybe, there is a law that offers heavier punishment to those who sneaks into girls bathrooms.

With respect jamespipers, what is needed is genderless toilets.

There really is no reason to segregate toilets. Anything private will be done behind a locked cubical door. Other than that, single sex toilets are just meeting rooms for neds, nerds and drug users.

I have a sudden desire to go take a long shower after visiting that site.   I feel so ... dirty.

How do you think your computer feels?  It may want to climb into the shower with you!

I won't comment there on a month's old post but, I find it always fascinating how easy it is to paint any group by the most extreme premonitions of their situation (i.e. a "man" who "thinks he's a woman" is just a slightly more palatable version of a girl who insists she's a wolf)

I wonder if this fellow 2would like me to condemn his religion because Fred Phelps professes to be a Christian, or because in other parts of the wrld people kill each other over their religion?

Sauce for the goose, Mr. Savik.

I can't read articles like this. It just makes me want to leave the U.S. permanently. I've known way too many people who talk like this and think like this, too. It's just truly scary. . . . I always use the women's bathrooms now and haven't had any problems aside from dirty looks. I'm not passable, either.

Goodness....I really don't have much of a response other than "it's not new to me".  I'm not really surprised by much anymore but this made me a little surprised, though I couldn't get too terribly offended because it's a viewpoint of seen several times before and I can't take each person who says something like that seriously or I'd go insane.
