Title: 2 months in hormones :)
Post by: tunak on March 13, 2010, 01:55:13 AM
Wow 2 months has passed by since i started taking hormones... Everything seems to have gone by so fast and alot of changes has alrdy happened in my life.

I started with estradiol a day and spiro a day. I immediately notice the more frequent visit to the bathroom... i pee at least 5 times a day now. My breast has started growing a month after the start of hormones and it is now at a point that i have to wear a sports bra so my nipples/boobs arent poking out when i wear my regular tshirts. I also notice that i am starting to confuse people with my gender, more apparent and frequent than before. Alot of people has been referring to me as a SHE, which is a lil weird at first because i am not used to it. I have been getting alot of attention/looks from guys... not sure if thats a good or bad thing. My tummy fat has slowly been going down, i dont know where its migrating lol.

2 months, i went back to the doctor and doubled the estradiol a day and the same dose of spiro . Do you guys think this is too big of a leap in dosage in this amount of time? just wondering...

And i also  moved my Video blog and it is now www.youtube.com/user/xotristxo (http://www.youtube.com/user/xotristxo)
You can track my advancement there. Pls. if you have time, check them out.

I want to calibrate my transition and compare them to you girls that have alrdy gone through it. so please let me know your humble and honest opinions. Thank you ladies :D

Nick - dosages removed.

You may want to remove the dosages in your post.  Rules ya know.

Awesome to hear. :) Your dosage sounds fine to me. You're very pretty, too.

You'll get used to hearing "she" and having men check you out.

Tristan, you are on the same dosages I was when I started.  Now the Spiro and the twins are gone.  ;D

I started pure estrogen in august. At the beginning of november, i got on time release. In december, I tested at a great level

I just got my T checked last week and it was almost three times higher than it had been on the same dose. I was supposed to get checked in January, but couldn't afford it.

So... your dose sometimes has to go up a lot.

You look very female on the photo, excuse me I hope you don't mind me asking, does estradiol make the face more feminine as well? I'm a long way off the hormone stage but it looks like you're taking the right doses, and are all the more happy for going down that route

Somewhat it changes your soft tissue but not bone, so it won't make your chin smaller or reduce occipital brow bossing,
But it dose change the texture of your skin and fills out your cheeks abit and alter the muscles of the face.

To radically alter your facial bone structure you need facial feminisation surgery.

However within reason hormones CAN change your facial appearance very significantly just through fat redistribution alone. So based on what I've seen, I'd wait maybe a year or two before pursuing FFS because it can have complications and it would be MUCH better if hormones turned out to be enough.

Thank you for that, it seems that there is a lot than can be done to make us feel like the females we feel we are within, it's reassuring to know, although I haven't as yet felt able to go down that route, I need more time to work out what I really need to do

Does estradiol help to make the voice higher, or is that something you have to work on without hormones? If so, is this normally a difficult thing to get around?

No it dosen't, and surgery for it is experimental and is considered risky. You have to train your voice and it is hard and takes a long time. But with sufficient training most get extremely wholesome results.
I hope sarah dosen't mind me linking to her thread.

Hmm that explains many things. I noticed guys don't ever go to bathroom that much, except to "take a seat" so to speak. I only do that once a day, or every two days, but most guys I know "take a seat" 4 TIMES IN ONE DAY! Based on what you said in your post, Guys only pee 2 or 3 times a day?? But I am a guy, and I pee like 10 times! When I am out camping in the outdoors, when I am asleep I have to get up and pee about 3-5 times per night! Which is in contrast to living in the city, I never have to get up at night. Maybe I have lots of female hormones running through my body?

I've watched you on youtube, and you are absolutely gorgeous. Your dosages sound fine to me aswell, however I have not started HRT yet, but researching it for almost 2 years.

I'm still a guy, and I go to the bathroom about 10 times a day, and 3 or 4 times in the night, don't drink much coffee or tea either, I live in a big city as well, so I'm not sure if it's much different for women
