Sex & Dating
Get naked
Jamie Bufalino treads lightly around bad lays and sexuality labels.

Q I'm a guy who has a thing for transsexuals and ->-bleeped-<-s but consider myself straight. I recently had a massage from a guy from Craigslist—sort of testing the waters—and while it was exciting jerking him off (which is what I wanted to do), I found that I was not turned on by him in the least physically. My question is, if you're not turned on by men at all, but are by men who look like women and you're willing to do gayish things, does that have a name? Besides horny?

This is a tricky issue that even a lot of TGs seem to have trouble understanding. While I'm sure a lot of these guys are just "horny" and see us just as sex objects, they also see other girls and guys the same way depending on their sexual orientation as it is often just a "guy thing." What I do find interesting about this (as I've known numerous long-term relationships between non-op MTF TSs and men) is that it is a unique form of bisexuality. A man who is not attracted to genetic men or even genetic women but finds non-op MTF TSs highly attractive appears to be attracted to the female gender but the male sex. In other words, a person's sex is directly related to their genitalia wheras a person's gender is their mental and emotional sense of who they are inside. It sounds and seems confusing but basically these "->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-s" like the male parts but the female persona. If this weren't the case, they would either date a post-op TS or simply a genetic male or female. A lot of us jump to conclusions and call them "->-bleeped-<-s" which many are but there are certainly long-term relationships out there like this among men who are exclusively attracted to non-op TSs. I believe that this is another one of the gray areas of sexual orientation.

Hi,
Put me down in this category.  I am looking for a long term with a no-op mtf.

A . . . It may not have a name that is socially agreed upon, but I would call it being "sexually idiosyncratic."

No.  The expression is "->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-".

Look, I am totally OK with preferences of virtually any flavor but this guy is fixated on body parts and not on the person.  This may be OK for a hookup but gay or straight, trans or cis, this is a poor basis for anything that resembles a relationship.

Hope it works out for him.

Different thing entirely.  A non-op MtF is in transition (despite her decision to forego surgery) and most likely will be looking for an actual relationship with someone who's interested in her DESPITE her body configuration and not BECAUSE she still may have her original plumbing.

If you can make that distinction you have a good chance for success.  If not, you'll need to spend lots of time on Craigslist trying to get your fix.
