Title: Surgery and Testosterone

I've heard that when you go in for top surgery you have to go off of T for a while? Is it true? For how long?

I didn't have to go off T, but I was asked to do my shot a day earlier than usual.  Had my surgery on a Monday and was doing my shots on Friday, and did it on Thursday instead.  I'm not sure how one day makes such a big difference lol but apparently it did.

I didn't do anything differently. No, wait, yes I did. I injected a couple of days early because I figured it would be hard to shoot up for a couple of weeks. I was on a biweekly schedule back then. But my surgeon didn't have me go off T.

Some surgeons do.  I've heard they believe that estrogen is better for healing.  Of course, cis guys don't have to chemically castrate themselves and pop E pills whenever they go in for surgery, either, so... I somehow doubt it's *that* dramatic of a difference.

My surgeon didn't ask me to change anything about my T shots.
