Title: ready to party!
Post by: gothique11 on March 25, 2010, 10:05:36 PM
What I love about going out and clubbing. Is that you can have fun and forget about the stress in life. I think it's important to have our fun moments.

I don't go out as much as I used to, but earlier on in my transition I went out lots. I think having a break from thinking about fitting in and the day-to-day trans things is healthy.

So, what do you do for fun to get away from it all? Let your hair down, and just enjoy the moment. :)

I'm going to a goth and industrial club event. I plan on having lots of fun. If I'm lucky, maybe someone will buy me a drink. :)

I just took this picture quickly with my webcam -- it's not very good quality, but it's what I have at the moment.

You look ready, so rock on.  I know I'd much rather do industrial music this weekend than Neil Schon (Journey guitar player) but Krishna Das might be different - put me in a mellow mood before all hell breaks out here in April.  Good to see you getting out more, you're looking good.

Looking like that you won't have any trouble getting drinks ;) I love going out to clubs too, especially if there is dancing involved. I'm totally a social animal lol I also just like going out to dinner or to see a movie with friends. Last night of all things I accompanied a friend to her son's high school music concert (its a performing arts school) and was amazed at how talented some of those high school students are. I guess I just like going out, whatever the destination.

Last time I was on a date, she and I rolled into a pool hall and almost immediately were sent anonymous drinks.

By the kid missing half his teeth, who informed us he just got out of prison. And his wife took the children.

Hell, that's an entire county&western CD right there.

I still haven't had too many over 21 experiences since my birthday unfortunately haha.  I don't even think I've seen a real club yet lol so maybe one day!  However I agree and do think it could be good to get out from time to time in situations like there where everyone is there to really just sort of forget about their troubles and have fun for the time being.

With the hit singles, "God Hates Queers" and "I Like Cowgirls Who Ride Cowgirls."

Just be aware that you will be carded either at the door, or if you order drinks. Or if you have to put the pool table on your license, because your date doesn't drive, and people who don't drive always lose their goddamn licenses. Though, I don't know if the waitress even looked at mine since it wasn't for alcohol.

Generally if it's a bigger place you just get carded at the door, get a wristband, and that's that. MUCH preferred to having the waitress or bartender do it.

Depends on where you are.  In Cali it's against the law to let anyone under 21 into a bar or club*, so once you get past the door crew, you're in.

* - unless they serve some (almost always) crappy food.

You are looking great. Love your hair. Have a great time.

As for country western wasn't there a Billy Connolly song. "I lost my Granny in Lourdes, when she fell over a cliff in her wheelchair"

I also like clubbing before. But since I hasn't changed my gender mark on my DL and I really want to go there in girl mode now, so I am not sure if it's wise for me to go now before I go full time and get my DL fixed.  Maybe I should try TG friendly bar :)

Hi Gothique11

Good to hear that you are going to go out and enjoy life, I recently went out to a concert and I had a fantastic time and I will be going out in the next week and half to see the stage show Mamma Mia with a friend of mine.  Yes, I agree with, you stop worrying about stuff and go out and live live to the fullest.

Oh by the way you look absolutely fabulous.

Kindest regards
Sarah B
