I've had three different men tell me I'm looking good today, despite the fact that I'm wearing a t-shirt and jeans and it is so windy my hair is all over the place. I should feel good, except:
One man is a long-time friend with macular degeneration. He can't see well enough to drive or read. :P
One man is a waiter I've known for over five years. He is blind in one eye, but at least the other has decent vision (I think). :-\
And one is a man who I just met yesterday but has some serious behavioral problems. (In other words: he's crazy.) ::)
But I suppose we should take our compliments where we can get them. ;)

I kinda like the windswept somewhat unkept look on a girl. Few can really rock that look.
Good for you girly. ;)
It does not matter where we get them for as long as we get them.
Two thumbs up, Kate. ;D
I agree it doesn't matter who says it, so good for you Kate :)
I love getting compliments, although sometimes I wonder if they're just being nice or truly mean it, that's probably just my self-esteem talking though :P. I'll say to my mom after I put my make up on "how do I look?" and she'll say I'm really pretty. I bug her if she meant it, it's partly just to annoy her  and she'll shout "yes! now stop asking". I had someone the other day say they were jealous of my facial features/structure, caught me off guard, but made me feel good ;D
Happy people always look good.
I think the compliments are nice wherever they come from also.
I think the next time someone says I look nice or beautiful I'll kiss them :)
It does a world of wonders sometimes and makes your day!
