Title: For those who've had a hysto..
Post by: Brittyn on April 03, 2010, 02:18:54 PM
How did you go about finding someone who'd do it?  Did you look for someone who has done it for ftms before?  If they haven't and you used them anyway, was it awkward?

Did you pay out of pocket for it?  If so, how much?

What does the consult entail?

How long after taking T did you get it done?

I'm looking into getting one in 1-2 years.  I've been on T for 5 months and have had top surgery.

My endo recommended a gyno who had done it before for a fellow ftm based on other problems which I had been trying to get taken care of for years. I didn't know that going to a different type clinic/hospital would matter so much.

I'm waiting for the bill but supposedly insurance is covering part of it.

Going over all options and a biopsy. Also telling me about possible repercussions of going thru with it.

5 months although I put it off And could have had it done 3 months ago. I put it off to keep the peace with my boss as I need to keep my job.

I have NOT had top surgery as I don't have the cash and likely won't for decades.
