Title: First time Scared newbie introduction
Post by: Kimberly-S on April 05, 2010, 05:40:04 PM
Hulloo Everyone!

I struggle introducing myself at the best of time, and now I'm super nervous so please bear with me ^.^

A Little bit about me, I am 22 and my name is Kimberly, you can call me Kim, I am completely new to the community and world, though it has been an internal struggle for manny years I am only just now taking the first steps to honestly allow myself to be me, Kim...

Like I said, I'm taking the first steps and am rather terrified and hesitant to leap forth into this, but with every baby step I feel so incredibly happy, so far that has only stretched to dressing in womans cloths, make up and identifying as a woman while spending time with a friend.

Im not totally sure how I fit into this world, or categories within this community but perhaps you could help with that.

If there is anything you would like to know about me please ask or PM, I'd really love to make new friends here and have a nice time.

Thank you for reading, Kim

Self-acknowledgement isn't easy, Kim. Brava to you for taking the first steps, and make yourself right at home. Remember, everyone here was a newbie at one time. Relax and enjoy life! At 22, it's just beginning. Lucky you! (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.snapstream.com%2Fvb%2Fimages%2Fsmilies%2Fwink.gif&hash=b3605d5fd1e8746e8296093375058d39fb20a909)

Lots of people have trouble labelling themselves, so you shouldn't worry.

I liken this to a hallway full of classrooms. Basically what we'll do is show you the rooms and tell you the name of the class, let you look at the different kinds of people in each one, and you get to decide which one to go into. If you don't think you fit well in any particular one, feel free to be your own - there's way more rooms than we're actually using, and the classes tend to all like each other anyway.

I seem to have one almost all to myself, actually. ^_^

Hey welcome to the fun house Kim :)

22, wow, i wish sometimes that i had of had the courage to address my gender issues at such a young age. But then i would not be the person i am today with the most wonderful partner a girl could ever ask for.

Anyway, this is a great site so i hope you learn heaps, i know i have.

Welcome to Susan's, Kim.  :icon_flower:

There's a lot of good information and good people here.  Each of our stories is unique but we have a lot in common.  Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore.

As Janet said, be sure to look under the Announcements heading or follow her links to read the rules we live by in this little world of ours.

The beginning can be very scary.  We've all been through it (or are going through it now), so no need to be shy about that.  As Luna said (better than I could) we come in great variety – just part of the diversity of life.

I'm glad you have a friend you can be a woman with if that is what you want and need.  I hope you will find many more friends here.

Happy exploring. :icon_wave:

Brave Kim!

We have all been scared and taken those first hesitent steps. That takes quite a bit of strength and courage. More than you'd expect!

Welcome to Susans. Janet should be by shortly to give you the pointer and official rules. But basically we all play nice.

You have found many friends. All of us are looking for answers. Take off your shoes, get comfortable and have a look around. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Welcome!

-Sand

Kim,

First of all, welcome to the family, you are now among friends.

I, too, was new and nervous less than a year ago, stepping into a world that had confused me, frustrated me, and scared me. After I stepped in here and started reading other peoples stories and started telling my own tales, then that nervousness quickly passed and I realized that this was the most important group of people that I have ever associated with in my 48 years. Through the help, support, advise, experience, stories, news, heartaches, and friendships I have grown to actually like who I am becoming as a woman (if you knew me, you would know what a strong statement that really is).

I truly hope you are able to find as profound an experience here for yourself. So, as it has been said before, welcome and free to ask anything you wish and explore (oh, yeah and be happy).  :D
