Still have not and I am almost 10 months on T.  I REALLY need to (as in my clothes attempt to drown me), but I am going to wait for after top surgery in the summer.

About the time I needed new clothes and had something to buy them with. I'm thinking since about 12 years old.

I guess it would depend if you wore super fitted clothing or not. I haven't had an issue yet.

Just stick to goodwill or other cheap/on sale clothes for the time being.

I bought all new clothes at the beginning of transition because I had all F clothes.  Tossed everything, including socks and  underwear.  Well, the useable stuff went to Goodwill.

After a year on T I had lost a fair amount of weight, so bought some new clothes.  Also, some of the clothes I wore early in transition had negative connotations for me, so I ditched those.

Now I've lost even more weight and have purchased a few new things.

I haven't bought anything pricey like a suit or nice shoes or anything, as I've been waiting for an occasion to do so, so as not to out grow it or shrink before I can wear it.  Do most of my shopping at Walmart, Target, or Kohls, so saves money.

I haven't been an T long enough to have major change yet, but I have been through major shifts in body shape and weight before.

I just bought cheap things as I needed them.

I know what items of clothing, and how many I need. When my "stock on hand" falls below that number (eg, things wear out, no longer fit, other damage) I buy a replacement item.

I keep things simple. I'm not what you'd call a fancy dresser

I started getting rid of any women's clothes I had around a year ago. At that time I started buying men's office clothes for work and wearing strictly them. I also got rid of all my women's underwear and bought briefs. I started doing it about a month before seeing my psychiatrist for GID. I've gradually built up my office clothes collection, so you don't have to buy everything at once. As for casual clothes I've always had male clothes so not much change there.
